Chapter 26: Rewind and Call

A/N: The following is rewind, back to early October on Greed Island, third-person point of view.

Gon and Killua have finally reached Masadora, and completed their first phase of Bisky's training. They went through their shopping as originally planned, before Bisky found a familiar face or two.

"Is that you Carol?", she asked walking closer to her.

River then popped his head out from behind the aisle and shouted, "I'm here too!".

"Bisky?", Carol said as she widen her eyes in shock.

Both Bisky and Carol gave each other a hug. They were close back when they were younger.

"Hey Killua! It's (Y/N)'s parents!", Gon exclaimed as he pointed towards the the two of them.

Killua followed Gon to meet with the three of them, however he was a bit suspicious of (Y/N)'s parents. He knew they were here for other reasons, and not just for fun as they claimed. However, he couldn't just put his finger on it just yet.

"You boys know (Y/N)?", Bisky asked.

"Yeah, we're friends! We met her at Heaven's Arena, while we were training under Wing", Gon answered.

"Really now?", Bisky replied.

"I see you have new students", Carol said with a soft chuckle.

"I sure do. Carol, River, meet Gon and Killua", Bisky said.

"Oh we've met before not too long ago", River explained.

"Is that so? Well I say (Y/N) has befriended two beautiful gemstones in their polishing process!", Bisky explained.

Both River and Carol smiled, while Gon was a little confused about what Bisky had just quoted.

"How do you know (Y/N)?", Killua asked Bisky.

"I helped her begin with her nen training", she answered.

Bisky and Carol started talking on their own, while Gon popped in to join their conversation as well. It then finally clicked in Killua's head. And he figured that whatever they're doing on Greed Island, it had to be related to Maxine. He proceeded to walk towards River, and decided to ask if they were here for reasons relating to Maxine. River had some insight on Killua's background, so he wasn't too surprised when he came up to him with an odd look.

"Can I help you?", River asked with a smile.

"I know you aren't here, "just for fun". Does any of this have to do with (Y/N) or Maxine?", Killua asked.

"Oh, you think so? And why do you believe that?", River asked the boy.

"(Y/N) wouldn't come to Greed Island because "work was slow", unless it was related to Maxine. It just doesn't seem like her to leave Kurapika like that, especially knowing that they're close", Killua replied with.

"Hey guys! What are you talking about?", asked Gon as he walked over towards the two of them.

"Bisky will come over here in a bit, she went to search for certain cards", Carol explained, walking over to meet with the rest of the group.
