Warnings: None
You and Chris had been texting each other nonstop since meeting in the bar. The conversations flowed so easily it didn't feel like you'd only just met him. It felt like you'd know him for years. You'd agreed to a date the on the 3rd day of your trip, close enough that you didn't have to wait. But with enough time to recover from your first night out in Boston.
You were looking through your suitcase trying to find the perfect outfit for tonight.
"Why you stressing out over an outfit so much you're only going to see your cousin" Emily says looking over at your from her bed.
"Well we're going to a fancy restaurant so I want to look nice and not out of place you know" you explain holding up a dress that was more fit for a club than a fancy restaurant.
Emily gets up and walks over to you and starts looking through all your clothes before pull-ing out a nice royal blue A-Line dress.
"How about this?" She asks holding it up.
The dress was perfect, the neck line was low enough to show a bit of cleavage but not too much. The shape of the dress highlights all your assets.
"Perfect, alright I'm gonna go freshen up" you say hanging the dress up before heading into the bathroom.
Once showered and dressed you grabbed your purse and head down to the hotel lobby. When you get there you see a text from Chris.
Msg from Chris: there's a car outside to pick you up, I'll meet you at the restaurant can't wait to see you xx
You smile down at your phone as you walk outside. The driver of the car walks over.
"(Y/N) is it?" He asks.
You nod you head and he opens up the car door. On the car ride over you try and calm your nerves. You still couldn't believe you were about to go on a date with the one and only Chris Evans. This was something pretty much ever girl in the world wanted. You had to pinch yourself that this wasn't all some elaborate dream and that you weren't still asleep in your hotel room.
When the car pulled up outside the restaurant you took a couple deep breaths before step-ping out of the car. As soon as you stepped inside the hostess greeted you.
"Hello Miss (Y/N) I presume?" She asks with a bright smile.
"Yep that's me" you say rubbing your hands together nervously hoping they weren't all sweaty.
"Perfect, right this way miss" the hostess smiles leading you deep into the restaurant.
In a nice quiet corner you finally saw chris, and you heart fluttered when you saw him in a simple but insanely attractive black suit and tie.
When he sees you approach he quickly stands up and moves to greet you.
"Hi (Y/N) how are you" he smiles kissing you on the cheek gently.
"I'm good thank you" you smile as he helps you into your seat.
Once he sits down you couldn't help but feel your nerves rise, and you start to fidget.
"You alright you seem nervous" he says with a kind smile making you instantly feel bad.
"I am a little bit to be honest, its not everyday a celebrity asks you on a date, an extremely attractive one too" you admit with a sigh.
Chris chuckles slightly "I wasn't sure if you knew who I was or not" he admits.
"Well I didn't initially, it wasn't until you actually asked me out that I noticed" you explain "but that doesn't change anything for me, for me I'm on a date with the person Chris Evans not the celebrity. I know the persona people project out when they in the spotlight isn't who they truly are and I want to know you, the real you, the guy from Massachusetts you" you explain.
Chris smiles over at you warmly breathing out a sigh of relief.
"That's nice to hear, not a lot of people understand that sort of feeling" Chris says.
"Which is insane because everyone does it no matter if they're a celebrity or not, everyone has a different side of themselves that they show people so much so that they have a mil-lion different versions of themselves, and its only with people we truly love do we show the real unapologetic you" you smile watching as Chris' smile grew wider and wider with everyone sentence you spoke.
He reaches out and takes your hand across the table "you are incredible, I can't actually believe I'm lucky enough to be sat across from you" he says making you laugh.
"Yeah imagine if I never got lost in the harbour" you point out making him laugh.
"Fate works in mysterious ways" he smiles rubbing your hand with his thumb.
"Are you saying the universe wants us together?" You smirk playful.
Chris shrugs his shoulders with a playful smile "maybe, guess we shall see how tonight goes"
You bite your lip slightly "to tonight and whatever the universe has in store for us" you say raising you glass.
"Tonight" Chris smiles holding up his glass to chink it with yours, neither of you taking your eyes off each other as you took a sip of the wine.
The rest of the night was spent eating some of the most amazing food, and having some of the best conversations you've ever had. You told Chris stories that you hadn't told some of your closest friends, opening up to him seemed so easy. All too soon the dinner was coming to an end.
"I don't think I want this night to end just yet" Chris sighs looking over at you with a sweet smile.
"Me neither, tonight has been one of the best nights ever" you sigh, it wasn't a lie this had been amazing and every other date you'd been on paled in comparison.
Chris smiles leaning forward slightly "you can say no but if you want we could get out of here, head back to mine" he offers.
You raise a brow slightly leaning forward "you trying to get me in bed Evans?" You smirk making him chuckle.
"That's completely up to you darlin'" he whispers making your heart flutter and your stomach flip.
"Let's get out of here" you say moving to stand up.
Chris smiles getting up and taking your hands in his "follow me" he whispers leading you out via a side entrance where a car was already waiting.
