Warning: Fluff!!!

Andy let out a long sigh as he reached for his coffee, quickly finishing off the tepid cup of liquid. He pushed himself up from the make shift desk he'd been given and walked out of the community centre room, finding his assistant sat outside.

"All finished?" She asked as she stood up.

"Finally" Andy nodded with a sigh.

"Cool, you don't have anything else scheduled for the day so we don't have to rush off anywhere, but your girlfriend has been trying to reach you" his assistant explains passing him back his phone.

"Do you know why?" Andy asks as he unlocks his phone to see numerous missed calls and texts asking him to call you back.

"No I didn't think you'd appreciate me answering" she says shaking her head.

Andy gives her a small nod of his head, it was true he wouldn't have been pleased but something was clearly up. You didn't call him while he was at work unless it was an emergency. He silently cursed at himself for leaving his phone with his assistant, not wanting to be disrupted while interviewing witnesses.

"It's fine, just give me a minute" he says passing his assistant his notebook before walking down the hall.

He dials your number, you thankfully picking up after a couple rings "honey, is everything okay? What's wrong?" He asks almost immediately.

"Nothing's wrong, don't worry, I was just hoping to get your opinion on something pretty urgently" you tell him making his brows furrow in confusion.

"Opinion on what?" He asks.

"Well you know we talked about maybe fostering a dog?" You start.

"Yeah..." Andy confirms.

"Well the shelter called today and they needed a dog homed urgently and they thought we'd be the perfect place until it found it's forever home" you continue.

Andy rubs at his beard hesitantly "I don't know sweetheart, you know I'd love to help and I know how much this means to you but with this case I'm working on, it just seems a bit to hectic at the moment" he sighs shaking his head.

"Well the thing is, because I couldn't get through to you and the shelter needed an answer right then and there, I said we'd take him on" you explain making Andy sigh deeply.

"But look if it's really a problem I'll call the shelter and I'm sure they'll be able to find someone" you say quickly one you heard his sigh.

"No, no honey it's fine, you made the right call for the dog, I just might not be able to help as much as you need" Andy tells you, not wanting you to feel guilty.

"That's fine, he's pretty laidback anyway I don't think he'll be a handful I think he just needs some TLC" you tell him.

A small smile appears on Andy's face "well they definitely found him the right foster mom, look I don't have any meetings so let me just swing by the office and then I'll come home to meet the guy while I finish up what I need to do" Andy offers.

"That sounds great, he can't wait to meet you, I'll see you later" you chuckle.

"I'll see you later" Andy smiles as he hangs up.

A couple hours later Andy made it back home you and he shared. As soon as he stepped inside he heard the noise of claws against the hardwood floor and the squeaking of a toy and your laughter. He followed the noise through the house all the way to your home office/studio.

He poked his head in to see you sat crossed legged on the floor smiling as you threw a dog toy across the room, the dog bounding over to fetch it. As the dog turned back around he spotted Andy in the doorway and instantly cowered, quickly walking over and seeking comfort from you. You glanced over your shoulder, spotting Andy a warm smile appearing on you face.
