Glammed Up - Chris Evans x Reader

You had a love hate relationship with makeup. You loved the way you looked when you had it on, but outside of a bit of concealer, mascara and maybe some lipstick you had absolutely no clue how to do it. So much so that usually you didn't bother.

The only time you'd wear a full face of makeup was when Chris would bring you along for premiers. But that would be solely done by the 'glam squad' and all you had to do was sit there. You had tried to learn, watching what they did as well as YouTube tutorials but none seemed to really work.

Normally it didn't bother you, you were pretty happy with the way you looked without makeup. But the compliments you'd get from Chris would increase tenfold when you were glammed up, which really didn't help that little voice in your head.

The last straw was when you saw a paparazzi photo of you and Chris out with friends. You didn't look bad, you looked actually quite pretty but all the other girls you were with looked stunning. You couldn't help feel like you weren't putting in enough effort.

Which led you to this exact point in time. Stood in the bathroom trying to get ready and put on all the new makeup you'd brought. It was going horribly. The amount of q-tips lying around from where you had to try and fix something would give an environmentalist a heart attack. You were just getting more and more frustrated huffing in annoyance before giving up completely before you completely broke down.

Chris who was sat on the bed waiting for you could hear the sounds of aggravation coming from the bathroom. He waited a couple minutes until he heard you swear before pushing himself up from the bed to find out what the problem was. He hadn't even crossed the room before you stormed out of the bathroom.

"Don't say a fucking word" you state holding your hand up at him as you passed.

You didn't get far though as Chris grabbed your hand stopping you and pulling you into his embrace. You tried to pull away but he wrapped his arms around you tighter until your face was smushed against his chest.

"Chris let me go" you grumble into his chest.

"Nope not until you tell me what wrong and feel better" Chris says rubbing your back soothingly.

You let out a deep sigh before wrapping your arms around his waist "I can't do makeup" you admit quietly.

"Okay, and why has that made you angry?" He asks gently.

"Because everyone else can, and they look amazing and I don't and you always say how amazing I look when people do my makeup for premiers and I feel like I'm not putting in enough effort" you admit keeping your head buried in his chest scared of what his expression would be.

You feel him pull away slightly making that fear seem much more real. But he then cups your cheek lifting your chin so you were looking at him.

"Sweetheart, I don't ever think you're not putting in enough effort, the thought doesn't even cross my mind. Yes you look beautiful when we're at premiers but no more beautiful than you are now with absolutely no makeup on" Chris reassures you, looking straight at you so there was no doubt in what he was saying.

"But-" you start but you don't get another word out.

"But nothing, sweetheart I love you for who you are not the way you look, I think you look stunning when your hair is all messy, and you're wearing baggy pjs, and honestly I love that more than glammed up you because its 100% you" he says gently, rubbing away the stray tears that were falling down your face.

"Really?" You whisper, your voice catching in your throat.

"Really, now lets screw going out tonight, order some pizzas in and just relax in our comfy clothes together because that's my favourite thing to do with you" Chris smiles kissing the top of your head.

"Thank you Chris" you sigh hugging him tightly burying your head back in his chest.

You feel him chuckle gently as he strokes your hair and press kisses to the top of your head "anything for you sweetheart" he sighs.
