to avoid spoilers I won't be tagging warnings, but if you are concerned about being triggered by anything PLEASE reach out to me so I can put your mind at ease! This is an 18+ Only series!
Sitting at the foot of the bed you ran your hands over the plush covers. Looking around the room at the lavish furniture, all mahogany wood and deep rich colours. You couldn't even begin to imagine the cost of everything.
It felt more like a fancy hotel than somewhere you would live. You were scared to touch anything in case you broke something.
A knock on the door pulls you from your thoughts "hey how are you feeling?" Ransom asks poking his head in.
"Um... a bit out of my depth" you admit with a deep sigh.
"Nothing triggering a memory?" Ransom asks as he walks over and sits down beside you on the bed.
"No sorry, it's not even familiar, any of it" you apologise shaking your head.
"It's okay you don't need to apologise, the doctor said not to push it remember," Ransom says gently rubbing your back.
The sensation of it feels familiar reassuring you slightly. Quietening that little voice in your head that was telling you something was wrong. While you didn't know Ransom he was familiar, allowing you to trust him.
"Plus we never really used this room" Ransom sighed glancing around the room "I just thought you'd be more comfortable in the guest bedroom since it's kinda like we're strangers again"
You give him a weak smile, you could only imagine how hard this was for him too. Finding out your fiancée had been in a car crash, finding out she no longer has any memories of you or the time spent together.
"Thank you, I appreciate it and hopefully it won't be for too long," you say reaching out to put your hand on his knee.
You see a warm smile grow on his lips at the contact "maybe I should try and win you over again" he smirks making you chuckle.
"Was it difficult the first time?" You ask him.
"Yes, the first time we met you called me a trust fund prick" Ransom chuckled shaking his head.
You laugh, eyes narrowing as a semblance of a memory surfaces. A quick flash of Ransom dressed up in a suit leaning against a bar.
"But I don't blame you, I was a prick until I met you" Ransom sighs smiling over at you warmly.
"Can you tell me more? About that night?" You ask hopefully.
Ransom smiles nodding his head "it was this charity event, everyone all dressed up to the nines" Ransom recalls, the memory of him in your head feeling more fresh "you looked stunning in this deep velvet red dress, you weren't like the other girls dressed up in big designer brands, you were understated but still the most beautiful girl in the room"
You nod along to the story, every detail making sense to you. The fact that you weren't one for all this grandeur. Preferring to be modest in style and sensibility.
"I knew I had to talk to you so I went over to you, ready to talk the big game," Ransom says before laughing and shaking his head.
"What happened?" You ask a smile on your face as you watch him laugh.
"You shot me down before I even got a chance" Ransom chuckled looking over at you warmly, "you told me that you knew exactly who I was and that you wouldn't be caught dead with me"
You laugh at that shaking your head "well something clearly changed" you chuckle.
"Yeah after a lot of grovelling I convinced you to go on a date and the rest is history" Ransom explains with a sigh of contentment.
