A/N: Merry CHRIS-MAS!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!
Warnings: Swearing, a shit ton of cosy fluff.
You wanted to curse at multiple things. You wanted to curse the weatherman who said there was no snow predicted. You wanted to curse at your stupid hunk of piece of shit car that sounded like it was choking on something. You also wanted to curse yourself for thinking you could drive all the way to Boston this close to Christmas.
The snow was coming down harder and harder, you considered finding a motel or something and waiting it out, but you had no clue where the next one was. Plus your decision was made when your car coughed one last time before completely dying.
"Fuck" you curse hitting the steering wheel.
You pull your coat around you tighter as you stepped out of the car and popped the hood. You stared down at the engine expecting something to be obviously wrong but it looked fine. Grumbling to yourself you moved back to the door so you could grab your phone. However just as you unlocked it the phone died.
"Oh come on not now" you complain out loud trying desperately to get it turn back on.
You dropped your shoulders in defeat as you looked around for any indication as to where you were. There wasn't much around at all, you guessed one of the side roads could lead to a house or something but there was no guarantee. Plus you had no clue whether the people living there would help or if they were murderers or something.
The more you tried to think of what to do the more stressed you got. You were stranded in a place you didn't recognise all alone with no way to contact help. You bit your lip to stop it from trembling from the cold and as the tears built up in your eyes.
"Hey you okay?" You heard someone call out making you jump in surprise.
You turn around to see a large man bundled up in a coat, scarf and hat walking over with his dog.
"Sorry didn't mean to scare you, is your car alright?" The guy says holding his hands up.
"Yeah, well no, it's died and I have no clue what I'm doing" you admit sniffling slightly dropping your head so he didn't see you cry.
"Hey its alright, let me have a look" he smiles reassuringly passing you the leash before having a closer look at your car.
While he had a look you took the opportunity to wipe away your tears, chuckling gently when his dog gently nudged your leg. You smiled down at the pup stroking its head, as you did so you began to realise you recognised the dog. Glancing back up at the man you realised your suspicions were correct.
"Shit" you mutter making him look back over at you.
"Everything okay?" He asks glancing up and down at you.
"Yeah sorry, I just um realised who you are" you explain feeling heat rising to your cheeks.
He smiles bashfully before standing back up straight "not expecting Captain America to come to your rescue" Chris chuckles brushing his hands on his coat.
"Nope, but at least I know you aren't gonna murder me" you say making him laugh.
"No I think my publicist would kill me, do you have someone you could call? I don't think this can be fixed easily without a proper mechanic" Chris says shoving his hands in his pockets.
"No my phone died and I don't have any numbers memorised" you sigh shaking your head.
"Okay well I can't in good conscience leave you out here especially since the snow seems to be getting worse, so my house is just up there you can charge your phone and get out of the cold" Chris says nodding to the road behind him.
