America's Ass - Steve Rogers x Reader (Headcanon)

-As a way to boost team morale and bond, the avengers had a weekly movie night.

-It was the one period a week that was set aside to relax, so no matter how busy everyone got they still had a break.

-The only time it got cancelled was if the world was ending but that's fair enough.

-Each week a different person was in charge of snacks, and this week it was Steve.

-Halfway through the movie the snacks had already run out so Steve set about refilling them.

-As he bent over to pick the bowls up from the coffee table he accidentally got in your way.

-"Oi America's Ass! You're blocking the screen" you complained, the nickname falling from your lips before you had the chance to remember who was in the room.

-The movie was instantly paused, Steve letting out a deep sigh knowing what was about to happen.

-"I'm sorry? America's ass?" Tony questions sitting forward and pointing over at you.

-Steve looks over at you, seeing the apologetic look you gave him.

-"Well we now know what asset Y/N likes the most" Nat smirks over at you.

-"I'm so sorry Steve" you say biting your lip holding back a smile.

-"No, no I'm sorry I didn't think of it first! How did I miss that" Tony mutters shaking his head.

-Steve sighed shaking his head grabbing the bowls and heading to the kitchen, you following closely behind.

-"Steve I'm so sorry it just slipped out" you apologise again as he grabs the snacks from the cupboard.

-"Doll don't worry it's fine" Steve says shutting the cupboard and turning to face you.

-"Are you sure?" You ask hesitantly.

-"Yeah, I mean I would have preferred it to be our little secret" Steve shrugs as he closes the small distance between you, hands moving to rest on your hips.

-"But you can just make it up to me later" he smirks, his voice low.

-"Yes captain" you smirk looking up at him biting your lower lip.
