The Chief thought it would a good idea for the fourth years to take over the services for our Attendings to give them a better teaching experience. I sent a picture of me in my navy blue scrubs to Scotty then my dad.

My eyes widen when I see the text. I don't hesitate to call my best friend as I change into my navy blue scrubs.

Me- you bitch!! Why didn't you tell me?! I could've picked you up from the airport!
Scotty- I'll be fine. I'll come by around lunch, okay? Then I'll stay around and sneakily watch you kick ass.
Me- no, come now. My dad won't care if you hang around with me today. You can watch me!! Come on.
Scotty- you sure your dad won't care?

Scotty- ... fine. I'll come by later.

I let out an excited squeal as I hang up.

Jackson: who was that sweetie?
Delilah: my best friend from New York. He just landed in Seattle and he's gonna be here and he's gonna hang out with me.
Jackson: he?
Delilah: mhmm. Oh, you're gonna love him. He's literally the best! I haven't seen him since I left New York before the merger. I miss him so much.

Suddenly, I get a page from my dad.

Delilah: dad's paging. Gotta go, see ya, byeeee.

I give Jackson a kiss then I run off.

Jackson's POV:

When I heard that Delilah's best friend was a guy, I stiffen up. I trust Delilah, I really do. She's the most loyal girl I've ever met. I know she would never cheat on me. I just don't trust other guys around my girlfriend.

Dylan: you alright man? You seem upset.
Jackson: apparently, I'm meeting my girlfriend's best friend today.
Dylan: okay, what's the problem in that?
Jackson: it's a dude.
Dylan: okay? Bro, Lilah's crazy about you. She would never cheat on you.
Jackson: it's not that I don't trust her, I just don't trust other guys around my girl.
Dylan: bro, it'll be fine.

Delilah: hey hey!
Dad: there she is! My beautiful little girl looking even more beautiful than usual.
Delilah: I'm so excited to take over your service today!!
Dad: I'm excited to watch you.
Delilah: oh, also, Scotty is in town and he's coming to the hospital. You don't mind if he hangs around, right?
Dad: not at all. Jackson will be with us as well.
