I'm sitting in the Attendings lounge with Amy and Maggie going through some charts when I hear Callie talking to Webber.

Callie: so, I'm just wondering if maybe we should rethink the resident-rotation system. I mean, make sure that our residents get an equal opportunity on every specialty.
Webber: isn't that happening?
Callie: well, there's a danger that our residents are being monopolized by a single Attending.

I roll my eyes when I realize what Callie was doing.

Am&D: she's talking about Blake.
Callie: you know what? This is not your busi—
Webber: isn't Blake with Grey?
Callie: yes, and she has been since she got here. I worry she's not getting a full education. And Grey is– she's– she's running her ragged.
Delilah: residency runs you ragged.
Webber: Shepherd's right. We've all been there Torres. You know this as well as anyone.
Callie: no, but this is different. This is different. I think it's personal.
Delilah: is it that you want to spend more time with your girlfriend?
Callie: Delilah, could you please—
Amy: you were saying that it's personal.
Webber: hey, hey– alright. Alright. Has Blake expressed this concern or just you?

Callie doesn't respond.

Webber: okay.
Callie: sh—
Webber: Blake stays with Grey. We don't have a policy to move around residents to accommodate your personal lives.
Callie: no, that's not what I'm saying—
Webber: if Blake has a problem, she comes to me.

I lean my back on Amy as I continue to look over my charts.

Nathan: hey all.

I look up and I was shocked to see Nathan Riggs standing at the door.

Nathan: uh, I was just wondering if someone could tell me where I can get some scrubs.
Delilah: third floor by the dispensary.
Nathan: cheers. Pleasure to see you again Dr. Avery-Shepherd.

I nod my head as Nathan goes to walk out but turns back to face Maggie.

Nathan: you're, uh, Dr. Pierce, right?
Maggie: mhmm.
Nathan: yeah, I-I just wanted to say I'm super excited, and I can't wait to get started.

I tilt my head in confusion as I look over at Maggie.

Maggie: ... great. Go get 'em.
Nathan: ... okey-dokey. Yep.

I smile politely at Nathan as he walks out.

Maggie: who was that?
Webber: I don't know.

I walk out of the lounge and find Owen walking to the ER.

Delilah: hey!
Owen: what's up?
Delilah: nothing. Hey, wanna go get a drink tonight?
Owen: I'd love that. You know, I can't remember the last time we hung out together.
Delilah: honestly... neither can I.

Owen and I laugh together but Owen stops as he looks into a trauma room and sees Nathan. He starts storming into the room, with me following behind him.

Owen: Riggs?
Maggie: Hunt! Do you know this person?—
Owen: what the hell are you doing here?!
Nathan: hey, I'm trying to do my job!
Maggie: everybody stop!

I place a hand on Owen's shoulder in attempt to calm him down.

Maggie: who gave you privileges here?
Nathan: well, you did. When you hired me, right?

I look over at Maggie who was clearly taken aback by the information. I get a page for a consult for one of Mer's patients so I run to the patient's room. I end up bumping into Jackson as I get to the door.

Delilah: wait, this consult is for Mr. Jaffee?
Meredith: mhmm.
Delilah: no way! You guys got a kidney for him?
Meredith: yep.
Delilah: that's awesome.
Meredith: may not work out though. I need you to check out a lump growing on his head.
