I'm sitting at the desk in the ER with Cristina resting after performing three back to back craniotomies plus a rhinoplasty with Mark. My feet were resting on Cristina's lap as I eat my third protein bar.

Meredith: are you two gonna help me at all, or are you just gonna sit there and eat chips and protein bars?
Cristina: I performed four back to back fem-pop bypasses today, and baby Shepherd performed three back to back craniotomies plus a rhinoplasty. These are the first chairs we've seen since 7am...
Delilah: and this is the first thing I've eaten since yesterday. Jackson got really mad at me for not eating. I choose protein bar and Cristina chooses potato chips.
Cristina: exactly.

I continue eating as the phone rings. Meredith looks at us, expecting one of us to answer.

Cristina: you might want to get that.
Delilah: you probably should.

Meredith rolls her eyes at us before answering the phone.

Meredith: Seattle Grace Mercy West emergency.
Cristina: you brought this on yourself, you know?
Delilah: Mer's right. I mean, you volunteered to run the ER?
Meredith: got it. We've got a suspected appy on a 10 year old. Let's page Robbins. You know, I saw a need and I filled it, like any good Chief resident candidate.
C&D: sadomasochistic Chief resident candidate maybe.

Cris and I share a laugh then high five as Meredith chuckles.

Cristina: what is up with you? You're perky and cheerful.
Delilah: Meredith is high on fertility drugs.
Meredith: she's right. We stepped it up. I'm pumped full of hormones. You know what's perky?
Cristina: quoi?
Meredith: my boobs. They're huge. Am I supposed to like big boobs?
Cristina: oh god no. They'll make you fall over.

Then, Lexie approaches me.

Lexie: hey, I need you.
Delilah: what's up Lex?
Lexie: I have a patient with a headache better after Sumatriptan. He's ready to be discharged. Just need you to sign off.
Delilah: is he neurologically intact?
Lexie: mhmm.
Delilah: you did a CT?
Lexie: I did, it was negative. The most interesting thing about this guy is that he came into the ER for a glorified migraine with a girlfriend from hell.
Cristina: oooh, which one is she?
Delilah: point her out to us with your eyes Lex.

Lexie turns around and I follow her gaze and see a girl in a yellow top talking very loud into the phone.

Delilah: mm. She sounds just lovely.

I sign the discharge form and give it to Lexie.

Delilah: here you go Lex.
Lexie: thank you.

Lexie runs off.

Delilah: hey, so Callie and Mark asked me to be the godmother for their baby and I said yes.
Meredith: what?
Delilah: oh come on Mer, you really can't expect me to say no to being the godmother of my godfather's baby.
Meredith: I know. I just... I want you to be the godmother of my children.
Delilah: I can be a godmother to more than one kid Mer. I would love nothing more than to be the godmother to your kids.

I grab a chart from Mer then I go to the designated bed.

Delilah: hello there, my name is Dr. Shepherd and I will– Mrs. Webber!
Adele: hi dear. How are you?
Delilah: I'm fine, thank you. How are you? What happened? Does the Chief know that you're here?
Adele: oh please don't bother him. I had a little fall is all. Got home from work, slipped off the stepladder and landed on my wrist.

I start examining her wrist.

Adele: it's basically nothing dear.
Delilah: it's not nothing Adele.
Adele: well, I-I brought lots of magazines and a good novel. I am perfectly fine waiting until you make time for me. I know you all have far more pressing patients.
Delilah: well, you're the Chief's wife. That's makes you our most pressing patient.
Adele: are you sure about that?
