Chapter 12:

I was woken up early by Meredith breaking into my apartment and forcefully kidnapping me to jog with her and Cristina. We jog in the park for a while then Cristina and I both stop.

Cristina: oh you're stupid. Oh god. You're stupid, evil, sadist and I wanna kill you.
Delilah: I want to kill you both for kidnapping me.

We start jogging again.

Meredith: endorphins are good. Endorphins are mood elevators. This is supposed to make us feel better.
Delilah: you're killing me Mer.
Cristina: oh god. Do you feel better?
Delilah: I feel worse. I haven't had my coffee yet so you're dead later Grey.

Cristina and I stop jogging again to catch our breath. Cristina lays down on the grass and I join her as Meredith jogs in circles around us.

Meredith: I'm stupid.
C&D: slutty mistress.
Meredith: pregnant whore. Daughter of man slut.
Delilah: okay, I saw that coming.
Cristina: sleeping with our bosses was a great idea.

Meredith stops jogging and lays down in between Cristina and I.

Meredith: you know what's ruined for me?
C&D: ah?
Meredith: ferry boats. I used to love ferry boats and Derek's got a thing for ferry boats. Now every time I see a freaking ferry boat—
Cristina: you know what's ruined for me? Coronary artery by-pass grafts... and aortic aneurysms. God, I used to love aortic aneurysms.

We lay on the grass in silence for a little bit.

Meredith: have you cried yet?
Cristina: do you think we'll feel better if we cry? You know, like, just let it out?
Meredith: probably. Yeah.
Cristina: do you wanna cry now?
Meredith: no.
Cristina: okay. Let's, let's jog.

I groan as Cristina helps me up.

Delilah: I hope you know that the both of you owe me coffee after this.

We jog for a little longer then we quickly change and shower at Mer's before driving to the hospital. We walk into the locker room and change into our scrubs. We bunch up with George. He kisses my forehead then as we're walking out, we're shocked to see Izzie and Alex... laughing together.

Delilah: oh my god.
Cristina: what is she doing?
George: she's...
Delilah: hanging out with Alex?
Cristina: why?
Delilah: my thought exactly.
George: I dunno. I think... I think they might be friends.

I lean into George and he wraps an arm around my waist. George leans into my ear.

George: make the lambs stop screaming.

I chuckle at George then peck his cheek before walking out into the hallway with Izzie joining us.

Izzie: you guys are wrong about him, alright? Once you get to know him, he's really sweet.

I chuckle at Izzie's statement. I mean, Alex is my friend and everything but he's still an ass.

George: he's Alex.
C&D: punk ass.
Alex: hey Grey. Izzie was telling me you have tapes of your mom performing surgery. I'd kill to see the Ellis Grey in action.
Izzie: hey, you know what? Maybe you can come over tonight and we can all watch it together? Right? Delilah, you can totally come over too.

Mer, Cristina, George and I look at Izzie in disbelief.

Meredith: oh yeah, if this were a hell dimension.
Cristina: yeah, run away pig boy.

George stops in front of Izzie with me still by his side.

George: do you have a thing for Alex?
Izzie: no.

Cristina groans and I facepalm at the blonde former model.

Delilah: this isn't good.
Izzie: I don't.
Cristina: oh!
Delilah: this is bad.
Bailey: are we saving lives or having a tea party? Walk faster people.
