I smile as I jump into Alex's car.
Delilah: good morning best friend!
Alex: you're lucky I love you.
Delilah: I know.Alex chuckles at me as we ride to Mer's. We wait a couple minutes out the house before Mer, Maggie and Amy jump into the car.
Meredith: good morning.
Amy and Maggie join me in the back while Mer sits up front with Alex.
Amy: you said you were drunk. Can I at least ask if you used a condom?
Maggie: shut... up.I chuckle as Alex starts driving.
Amy: look, there is a jumbo box of condoms under the bathroom sink. I share. They are for everyone.
Alex: jumbo? Seriously?
Amy: I was being optimistic.
Meredith: wait. That was you making all that noise last night? I thought that was Amelia.
Delilah: woah, what happened?
Meredith: well, you aren't shy. And you have a filthy mouth.
Maggie: okay, can we not talk about this? Please. I am begging you.
Amy: so, the intern was good in bed.I gasp at Maggie.
Meredith: intern?!
Delilah: which intern?
Meredith: Maggie, what intern?
Maggie: Alex can hear us.
Meredith: Alex doesn't care about this.
Delilah: do you care Alex?
Alex: do I care about any of this conversation? No.
Amy: did he visit Ladytown? Because I find if they don't go down to Ladytown the first time, there should be no next time.
Delilah: preach to the choir Ames.Amy and I chuckle as we share a high five.
Meredith: she's right about that.
Maggie: no more taking! If any of you says another word, I will jump out of this car while it is moving. And Ladytown is just as bad as P
Ladyplace.Mer, Amy and I all look at each other.
Delilah: damn.
Meredith: geez. So sensitive.
Amy: just trying to be nice.
Alex: hey, what time do you want me at your house tonight?
Meredith: why are you coming to my house tonight?
Delilah: you're having a dinner party Mer.
Amy: oh, the dinner party. No, that's not tonight.
Maggie: no, that's weeks away. It's on the—
Meredith: dinner party's on the 14th Del.
A&D: today is the 14th.
Alex: you people need adult supervision.I chuckle as we drive to the hospital.
-later-
Delilah: so, you coming to the dinner party at Mer's tonight?
Dylan: I don't know. I mean, April's probably gonna be there.
Delilah: come on. Jackson and I are going, you should too.
Dylan: I'll think about it.
Delilah: okay.Suddenly, I get a text from Owen.
1/2 of Trauma Soldiers 🩸: need your help with the silver flood.
Delilah: Owen needs my help. It's that time of year: silver flood season baby. Gotta go.
I bolt down to the ER and I meet with Owen half way.
Delilah: I love you.
Owen: I know.I chuckle at Owen as we march into the ER.
Delilah: have you told someone to round up all the available interns?
Owen: Warren is doing that as we speak.
Delilah: alright, we are about to get hit with the silver flood.
Owen: we need fiber-optic intubation on standby for each bed.I run off with Owen and start bringing in patients. Soon enough, the ER is full of senior citizens.
Delilah: I love silver flood season.
Owen: tone the excitement down Shep.
Delilah: nope, not today. I haven't seen a silver flood in God knows how long.
