3rd Person POV:
Word got around that Meredith and Delilah had left and we see Owen Hunt, Callie Torres, Maggie Pierce, Amelia Shepherd, Miranda Bailey, Jackson Avery, Dylan Hudson and Alex Karev in Meredith's house.
Owen: it's just so strange that she left with no warning. Lilah too.
Amy: she left a note. Lilah sent texts.
Callie: uh, "the kids and I are safe"? Yeah, that's helpful. And I never got a text. Who got a text?
Dylan: Jackson, Alex and her best friend Scott.
Alex: I called Yang again, but she hasn't heard from Mer or Lilah since the funeral.
Bailey: are you serious? That was weeks ago. W– okay, I just don't understand. I don't understand. I do not understand how you...As the doctors in the living room talk, Richard Webber and Amelia talk in the kitchen.
Webber: uh, you want to go to a meeting after this?
Amy: I'm good. Thanks.
Webber: are you? You're basically living at the hospital.Truthfully, Amelia wasn't okay. First, her only brother died. And now, her favourite niece has left town with very little warning. The one thing that hurt her most, was that she never got a text.
Amy: I'm fine Richard, really...
We hear Bailey continue on about Meredith and Delilah.
Bailey: I mean, th– they just dropped everything– their patients, their surgeries.
Callie: look, maybe it's time we hire a detective, make sure they're really safe. And make sure that they're even together.
Maggie: yeah, I think we should call the police.
Callie: mhmm.
Webber: o-okay, that's– that's enough. Meredith Grey and Delilah Shepherd are not missing people. Meredith left a note and Delilah texted people. Meredith isn't jeopardizing her kids, and Delilah isn't jeopardizing anything. They're not irresponsible people. If they're gone, they're gone because they want to be gone. They're doing what they know how to do.
Callie: so, that's it? That... we just let them go?Jackson sat on the couch with his face in his hands. He wanted to know that his wife is safe.
Alex tried ringing Meredith while Dylan tried ringing Delilah. The phone rings once before sending him to voicemail. Dylan hangs up then tries again, but gets voicemail once more.
We see Delilah getting off her plane and she was nervous. She quickly gets her suitcases from baggage claim then runs off to the pickup terminal. Delilah lets out a deep breath as she looks up and notices the one person who she trusted most in the world... her grandmother.
Delilah needed to come back to New York. It was her safe place. Being in New York with her grandmother was her safe place. When George died, she fled to New York without any hesitation.
Delilah didn't hesitate to run to her grandmother and throw herself into her arms. The second she felt her grandmother's arms around her, she broke down. She's never needed her grandmother more than she does right now.
Carolyn: shh, it's okay darling. I've got you... grandma's got you.
Carolyn's heart broke as her granddaughter continued to sob into her chest.
-Easter-
Jackson stares at his phone after sending a string of texts to his wife.
Jackson: I miss you baby. I love you ❤️
Jackson: Cathy and George really miss their mommy. They keep asking where mommy is. Pls come home 😢
Jackson: you're probably with Meredith right now so I know you're safe, but call me please ❤️ I need to know that you're okay.
