Jackson told me that DeLuca was hurt and needed my help so I don't hesitate to bolt to the hospital.

I've barely worked with DeLuca, but in the short time I've known him, I've grown to like him as a surgeon and as a person. He's kind, funny, and really talented. I genuinely care for the guy.

Once I got to the hospital, I text Jackson to meet me in the lounge then I quickly change into my scrubs then Jackson and I bolt to the ER.

Alex: I didn't ask for Plastics. I asked for Avery-Shepherd.
Delilah: I'm here, I'm here.

My heart drops when I see DeLuca bleeding profusely.

Delilah: oh my god. What the hell?
Alex: looks like an orbital floor fracture with entrapment.
Delilah: who did this?
Alex: head and face CT are pending. Lilah, can you just reset his nose please?

I nod at Alex.

Delilah: okay, I need to reduce his fractured septum.
Ben: bruising around the clavicle. There's an obvious deformity. He broke it.
Alex: alright, let's get a chest film. Start him on a Lorazepam drip.

I see Mer enter the room from the corner of my eye as I begin.

Delilah: okay, on my count. 1... 2... 3.

I reset Andrew's nose and I could hear him gasp for air.

Meredith: Alex. Can Lilah and I speak to you for a moment?

I look over at Mer in confusion. Why would she need the both of us to talk to Alex?

Alex: we ready to go?
Delilah: got it.
Meredith: Alex.
Alex: alright, let's go.
Meredith: Alex!
Ben: I got this.
Delilah: alright, let's move him.
Meredith: Lilah!

I look at Mer in confusion.

Jackson: go, I got it.

I nod at Jackson then I follow Mer and Alex.

Meredith: say something.
Alex: what do you want me to say?
Meredith: you think that no one is gonna realize this is you?

I look at Meredith in shock for a second. I was about to yell at her for accusing Alex, when I see Alex's hand through his glove.

Delilah: Alex. What the hell? Look at your hand. You could go to jail! This is assault.
Meredith: we're doctors. Lilah and I have a duty to report you to Bailey.

Alex drops his head low.

Alex: I came home. He was on top of her. Jo was drunk. He was... he– guys, come on.

I know for a fact that DeLuca would never take advantage of Jo. One, because he's one of the kindest people I know. And two, he knows that Jo and Alex are together. As much as I love Alex, I don't believe him.

Alex: you're both gonna turn me in to Bailey?

I look at Mer who was already looking at me, then we both look at Alex. We both knew this was wrong. We knew that we had to report Alex to Bailey, but... he's our person. I know for a fact that Alex would do this for us if we were in this situation.

Delilah: you slipped in the rain. That's how you hurt your hand.

Meredith walks away and I stay back with Alex.

Delilah: you really screwed up Alex.
Alex: I know. Believe me, I know.
Delilah: I hate that I love you so much Alex. If I didn't, I would be marching straight to Bailey and reporting you because that is what a good doctor does.
Alex: you can report me all you want Lilah. I won't stop you.
Delilah: I'm not going to, because I love you so much. God, I hate myself for loving you so much.
