I walk into the conference room where Jackson was looking over paperwork and I give him a kiss before I sit next to him and go over the paperwork as well.

Webber: any thought on who will fill the three empty seats on the board?
Jackson: uh, it's only one seat actually.
Delilah: yeah. My dad and Mer will keep their seats and telecommute from DC for meetings. And Cristina said she won't have time.
Jackson: we think she just wants a clean break. So that just leaves her seat open.

I was a bit sad knowing that Cristina was leaving today. I'm gonna miss my best friend.

Bailey: good morning everyone.

I turn around and see Bailey walking into the room.

Bailey: you'll be happy to know that former bubble boy Braden Morris had his first follow up with his pediatrician. He is healthy as a horse.
Webber: uh, I have a consult. If you'll excuse me.

I smile at Webber as he walks out.

Bailey: what's up?
Delilah: I'm sorry Dr. Bailey, but the foundation has cut our budget, so we are unable to continue funding your genome lab.
Bailey: oh. Well, who's gonna find it then?
Jackson: we're shutting it down actually. It's simply not producing the results that other projects—
Bailey: did you not just hear what I said? I-I gave an immunodeficient child deactivated HIV saved saved him!
Jackson: and almost got the hospital sued in the process.
Delilah: not to mention almost lost your license and landed in jail. I'm sorry Bailey, but is that really where you want to plant your flag?
Bailey: yes! And so should you! Hey, two years ago, I was wiping your butts and changing your diapers, and now you want to do this to me?
Delilah: Bailey—
Bailey: n-no, no. I-I will not stand for it.
Jackson: it's budgetary, and it's done.
Bailey: won't stand for it!

I sigh when Bailey storms out of the room.

Delilah: Bailey practically raised me, and now she hates me.
Jackson: don't let her get to you love.

I lean on my head on Jackson's shoulder then we continue working on budget stuff.

-later-

I'm walking with Owen towards the ER along with the new head of cardio Maggie Pierce. She doesn't seem all that bad, she's just not Cristina. Nobody will ever be as good as Cristina.

Maggie: I emailed Dr. Yang twice about the conduit babies, and her only response was, "not your problem". I'm the head of cardio. I'm her boss. And the way she talks to me sometimes—

Okay miss braggy pants, way to rub it in. And if you can't handle Cristina's criticism, you ain't built to be head of cardio.

Owen: look Dr. Pierce, I—
Maggie: Maggie. Margaret. Maggie is fine.
Owen: Dr. Yang will be coming in later today for a final checkup with her conduit baby before she—
Maggie: and then she's leaving? For good?

I roll my eyes at Dr. Pierce. From the sound of her tone, it sounded like she wants my best friend gone.

Owen: yes, yes, she will be gone by the end of the day.
Delilah: unfortunately.

I give Dr. Pierce a pointed look for a second but Owen nudges me and gives me a look that said 'be polite' so I wipe the look off my face.

Owen: is that it?
Maggie: yes. I have a patient in pre-op.

She looked a bit lost so I speak up.
