the process would be hard...chan knew that.

3 days had passed, the amount of coke chan was giving hyunjin now every 8-10 hours was just not enough for hyunjins body to feel numb anymore. actually it was quite the opposite. he was in so much pain he couldn't even speak correctly and it hurt chan more to admit he could barely even look at the boy in his state.

hyunjin was seated in chans lap, back pressed close to his boyfriends back as chan tried to hold him still. hyunjins whole body was shaking as she spouted out nonsense words, yelling or screaming at random times. at this point in becoming sober was the starting of the worst withdrawal symptoms he would go through, from what chan remembered from the first time.

it looked like a scene from a horror movie, yet this was far from a false reality. chan lifted up the sippy-cup to hyunjins lips and tilted his head back from him, watching him attempt to swallow what water he could while the rest flowed out of the corners of his mouth onto the mattress.

"ch-chan—chan i'm—i have—chan—i-i" hyunjin stuttered as his body shook with each word as he tugged on chan's clothing to get his attention. the elder caught on and quickly picked him up and carried him to the bathroom, placing him in front of the toilet which he began to throw up into.

chan held his hair back, as hyunjin choked and coughed into the bowl. "its gonna be okay, you're gonna be okay." chan tried comforting with his words. yet hyunjin wasn't dealing with it, he elbowed chan in the stomach causing the male to fall back away from hyunjin.

"your wrong! i'm—i'm dying!" hyunjin screamed, before he went back to throwing up once again with tears spilling from his eyes. he didn't believe chan for he had went through this many times before and now he was here yet again only a year later. he believed that truly this would be his life on repeat and it was hard for him to believe anything else.

chan hadn't seen hyunjin get physical like that in a while, he was taken back for a short moment but he had to stay strong for the both of them. "hyunjin i know it hurts now, but remember what it felt like when you got out of rehab? just think about a life where you don't have to depend on a drug to be happy, where you can be healthy and not ever have to go through this anymore!"

"it never stops chan! never! not—not even when i'm sober, i can't go out and have—have—i—i-i'm-i—" hyunjins eyes started rolling back as he yelled, he was loosing his energy from yelling and it was draining him too fast for his weak body. luckily chan was quick to catch the boys body as he collapsed on the floor and passed out.

he carried the boy back to their bed, laying him down and tucking him in beneath the thick comforter and left a kiss upon his forehead. "we can get the pain to go away, i'll make sure of it." he whispered before grabbing his keys and leaving the apartment, making sure there was a note explaining his whereabouts for hyunjin if he woke up. although, chan wouldn't take long, he was simply making a visit to a specific doctor whom had dedicated his studies to help people such as hyunjin.

finally after taking the short drive to the campus, chan ran straight to seungmin dorm to ask him for advisory and medical attention to hyunjin as he recovered at home.

the two had a long discussion about what they could possibly do for the addict and had come to conclusion that for the next 3 months seungmin would visit every other day to check the boys heart rate, keep him on a healthy diet, put him on a detox and give him a strict exercise to do each and every evening before he showered. they created a whole plan that would, for the majority, consume up hyunjins life, but as strict lifestyle is much more healthy rather than having drugs consume it instead.

seungmin said if this was taken out in the correct way, hyunjin could potentially be painless and could finally live the happy life he wanted as well as being a healthy man. this would take time, effort, and would only work if the addict was willing to put in just as much effort as his loved ones would to help him.

because in the end, you can't help a person who doesn't want the help.
