Three and a half years later...
Chandeliers in the upper dining halls jingled as they shook with the rumbling floors below that were filled with hundreds of soldiers, knights and generals that were now marching through. All following the path of their soon to be leader.
The light of the blue orb illuminated the dark underground corridor, and was the guidance of those many warriors with swords raised high in the air. The one the king himself had given the task to was taking the army through, and was the one holding the orb to guide them.
Two large doors made of metal and wood were pushed open by the captains, allowing the army entrance into the Great Room. At the very top of the stairs, sat the king in his throne. Back straight, head high and arms resting perpendicular to his sides, his posture was near perfect.
"Princess _____." He bowed his head towards you as you stepped up onto the circular golden pedestal in the center of the room, the army crowding in behind you. You kneeled down, an arm resting over your knee and the other closer to the ground with the orb still hovering above it. "I thank you for arriving in a timely manner with the Hyrulean Army. We have much to discuss."
"I appreciate you finding time in your schedule, your majesty." You kept your head down, eyes closed as you spoke. The formality was nothing new as of lately. There had been plenty of this the past few months, especially with your return to your original position in the kingdom.
"First, I'd like to thank all of you for coming today. This is an important day as you all know-"
"King Rhoam!" Rhoam was interrupted by a young, blonde knight that rushed into the room, out of breath and his hair and armor messy. "Princess Zelda and Princess Mipha have just arrived at the gate." Everyone was silent, seemingly baffled with the sudden interruption. You rose from your bowed position without realizing, but you snapped back when you heard the next voice.
"MANNERS!" The boy's arm was grabbed by a general you were quite familiar with - Sir Minken. "E-Excuse the interruption, your majesty. I am so sorry about this."
"It's quite alright, Sir Minken. Princess _____, could you go find my daughter at the front gate? We'll resume the meeting as soon as you return." You nodded and hopped off the pedestal, walking towards the doors. Minken was quietly lecturing the knight as you passed them, and he bowed his head to Rhoam before the pair followed closely behind you.
"Sir Minken," You finally said halfway down the hall. "Don't be so hard on him. He just did what he had to do to complete the task given to him." You gave a slight glance behind him to see a small smile appear on his face, and Minken sighed and stopped scolding him. You had to hear enough of that everyday.
You didn't even know that Minken had a son.
Once you got outside, a few guards escorted you to the front gate, where you saw Zelda and all four chosen champions waiting.
"I was only told it was Zelda and Mipha arriving." You remarked as you walked down the stairs, catching the attention of the five. "A young knight interrupted our meeting to tell us you were here." You chuckled as you reached their little circle.
"I reckon he may not have known us three." Urbosa shrugged, resting a hand on her hip as he hair slid off her shoulder and down her back. "Were we needed for this meeting?"
"I'm sure Rhoam wouldn't mind having you all there. Come on." You brought them back inside and downstairs, and after another trip through the corridor, you were back at the hidden army base. "King Rhoam, I've returned with Princess Zelda and the four chosen champions."
"Thank you. Zelda." He patted the left side of his throne, and she nodded to you before hopping up the steps to stand by her father's side. "As for the four of you, you may stand around that golden pedestal." Urbosa gestured for you to go first, and as you stepped into the center of it, the four surrounded you, backs facing you and heads down with their eyes closed; weapons in hand.
