"She's waking up."

You groaned and stretched your arms out a bit, but you started to feel a burning pain so you stopped. But that burning didn't go away, and suddenly you felt yourself laying on something. And you could register yourself breathing. You slowly opened your eyes, and made out a figure standing above you.

"Oh thank the gods you're alive." Link huffed, falling back to lean against a wooden pillar. You looked up at the wooden ceiling above you, and you tried to figure out where you where and more importantly what had happened. "You scared me."

"Mmm..." You hummed, rubbing your eyes to adjust to the light. "Where are we?" You asked, looking over at him. That's when you noticed Impa behind him, sitting on her pillows, looking down at you. "Impa...?"

"You were almost taken out in a battle with a lynel and a hinox." She explained, bowing her head. "I'm lucky I had sent some of my guards in that direction in search of King Dorephan."

"How long have I been out?" You asked, trying to sit up and managing just barely. You winced, and Link jumped up to help you, but you held your hand up and insisted you could do it yourself. He sighed and walked over to your stuff sitting on the other side of the room.

"Almost two days. I was starting to worry that it was going to be much longer than that." He grabbed your canteen out of your bag and handed it to you after opening it. "Drink this. You're probably dehydrated."

"Link tells me the two of you freed all the Divine Beasts." Impa said, and you nodded. "Now all you have left to do is retrieve the Master Sword from Korok forest and defeat Calamity Ganon."

"Yes," You breathed, taking in the realization that there wasn't much in the way before the battle now. "That's it." It still felt like you had just woken up from your long slumber in ice, despite it being nearly six months since you and Link left the Plateau. You didn't feel ready.

"I'll go cook some food for dinner," Link said, grabbed a small cloth and placing some food on it before grabbing the corners together. "This should tide you over in the meantime." He handed you an apple, which you quickly took a bite of, and smiled a bit with the relief of having food again.

"Bring me back some soup!" Impa called as Link headed down the steps, and she chuckled a bit before glancing over at you. "I advise you to stay here for at least a few days until you heal."

"I'll be fine, Impa. I can do all my healing during the aftermath of our battle with Ganon." You took another bite of the fruit, and Impa shook her head and closed her eyes.

"If you go into battle like this, I have little doubt you'll see the aftermath of the battle at all." She hummed, only opening her eyes a bit to see the way your expression changed. She was right. But you knew there wasn't a lot of time left. Zelda could only hold on for so much longer.

"I know. But we can't hold off for too long. Normally I would have been able to heal myself, but... I can't feel the scroll's power at all anymore. It's so far gone." You curled up and rested your head on your arms, and you could hear Impa called for Paya to come downstairs.

"That is why," She was handed a small box by her granddaughter, who seemed herself like she was getting ready to go somewhere. "I retrieved the scrolls from each of the elders." She opened the box and pulled out each of the scrolls, revealing just how perfectly intact they were. They looked the same as they did when you had given them to the champions if not better.

"I don't know if they'll help," You let out a sigh, holding your hand out to see if you could feel anything. And still, you couldn't. You felt even... weak. "I think it's me. I fear I may have lost them completely, Impa. I exhausted them over that fifty years, and I had to teach myself how to use them all over again. And even with that... they're gone."
