“They said Prince Sidon would be just around this area,” You told Link as you let your eyes wander around the area, searching for the Zora that would give you more insight on the task you’d been given. Link used the scope on the Sheikah Slate to help him get a better look, but he couldn’t seem to spot anything in the surrounding area either.
“Perhaps he went home?” Link inquired, snapping a picture of a fish in the water while you weren’t paying attention. “I mean, he can’t be out here all the time looking for a hylian, right?”
“Gruve told us he was down here not even a half hour ago. If he really valued his mission like they said he does, then he won’t simply just walk home when his guards are stuck out here?” You climbed a large rock to give yourself a slightly higher view over all the bushes and trees along the path, and while you didn’t spot the prince, you did see another shrine. “Here Link, I’ll go activate that shrine so we have another travel gate, and you keep looking around.” You reached out for the slate, and he reluctantly gave it to you. “Try not to get lost.”
“Yes, yes, I won’t get lost.” You hurried up the hill to activate the shrine, while Link walked off along the path towards a luminous blue bridge with towers on each corner, and he stopped just in front of it. “Hm.”
“Say hey there! Young one!” Link jumped a bit once he heard the sudden call, and he looked around frantically trying to figure out where it came from. “Up top! Above you!” He looked up to one of the towers and saw a tall red Zora, who leaped off the tower and managed to flip before he hit the ground, and as he stood up, Link was frozen in place, in awe of this shark man. He towered over Link easily. “Are you a hylian?” Link could hardly make out a nod. “I was hoping perhaps you’d have a moment to talk.”
“I FOUND SIDON!” Link yelled, and Sidon looked out in the direction he was looking. “Yes! I’m a hylian. I’m Link.” Link held his hand out happily, and Sidon took it with a smile and gave him a firm shake.
“And I am the prince of the Zora, Sidon! Though, you already seemed to know that Link.” He chuckled, and Link rubbed the back of his neck and explained how you two had encountered the other Zora along the way. “Well in any case, I’m happy to meet you.”
“You found him?” You rushed out of the bushes and stopped when you saw Sidon. You narrowed your eyes as you looked him up and down a couple times, and then you gasped. “Oh my Hylia, Sidon?!”
“Lady _____?!” Sidon smiled even brighter and walked over to shake your hand, and Link stood there a bit confused about how you seemed to know every single person that you crossed paths with. “I must say, I’m rather surprised you’re alive! My father was worried you had fallen with the king!”
“It’s a long story, one we’ll have to get into later, but goodness look how tall you are! The last time I saw you, you were hardly half of my height!” You both laughed, all while Link watched with a slightly unamused look on his face. “My, how the tables have turned.” The hero cleared his throat in attempt to catch your attention, and when you finally glanced over, you sighed a bit and waved your hand. “But enough about that for now, we were instructed to come see you to help with Vah Ruta and the Domain.”
“Oh yes! We’ve been having an… issue with Vah Ruta that is putting our home in danger, which is why we’ve been searching for hylians to help. We can talk about it more when we are in the company of my father, as he can likely explain it better than I can, but for now, we best get you to the domain before night falls.” He looked behind him at the river and path leading towards the domain. “Unfortunately, it is a bit of a treacherous journey.”
“We’ll do whatever we have to do to get through this, rest assured.” You told him, and he lit up again when he heard Link agree.
“Well then, I’m sure it’s nothing a couple of Hyrule’s greatest warriors cannot handle. Here, a little something to help on the way since the monsters ahead may wield electric forces.” He gave both of you electric elixirs, and you put them in your bags until you needed them. “I’ll travel downstream and check the way ahead. If I see anything that may be too dangerous, I will be sure to warn you.”
