"Here we are!" Link smiled as you walked up the hill behind him - well, ran, because a guardian was trying to kill you - and you had to parry a laser and deflect the blast. "Come on!" He grabbed your arm and dragged you up to the door, and once he hopped up the steps, he knocked on the old wooden door.
No answer.
"Hellooooo?" He called, knocking again, and then you suddenly could hear what you thought sounded like a guardian. "Anybody hooo-" You moved him out of the way and kicked down the door, quickly rushing in, ready to fight. But there was no fight. No guardians at all.
There was, however, a robot standing up against a wooden post in the center of the lab. You cautiously walked towards it, keeping Link close behind you in case it tried to attack. But once you got close enough, it started making more noises.
"I... It's..." It said, and you were surprised a bit by it's ability to talk. "An... it's..."
"Hey you!" You both turned around startled to see a short man with a taller woman standing behind you, and the man had some strange goggles on. "What are you doing here?"
"I- we were just-" You stammered, but he stopped you.
"Hmmm... Hm?" You and Link looked between eachother and then back at the man. "Hmmm?" You shrugged a bit with a nervous smile, and then had to take a moment yourself to figure out who exactly this was. "Are you... the one called... Link?"
"Yes! That's me." Link smiled and pointed at himself, and the man thought.
"Well, if you were the legendary Link, I would have something very important to tell you... So I would need the proof..." He thought for a moment. "Hmm, hm, yes. If you can show me the wounds your body suffered half a century ago, that should prove you are truly Link."
"W-What?" Link asked, and you shrugged. "Here- how about this," He lifted his shirt, revealing a large scar from the battle trying to reach Ganon, and the man nodded.
"Yes, yes... Most seemed to have healed, but they line up with the scars I know you had during the Great Calamity. Hm, yes, I acknowledge you as the real Link. So let us begin again..." He cleared his throat. "I am the lead Guardian researcher and director of the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. Doctooooor... Robbie!" He pointed outwards in a pose, and you chuckled a bit while Link studied him. "And you... the one who travels with Link... are you not Lady _____?"
"That would be me. It's good to see you again, Robbie." You smiled, and he gave you a firm nod and looked back to the hylian hero next to you.
"In any case... I really am impressed that you made it all the way out to this rather remote location." He pondered. "Did you, perchance, meet Purah and borrow her power?"
"Yes, we met-"
"A child! Oh, it was so adorable." Link smiled as he cut you off, and Robbie gasped.
"A child? Wait... does she really have a kid? Hmm... or do you mean Purah aged backwards and SHE is now a child?" He asked, and you confirmed his second theory. "Hmm... are you sure?" You nodded. "Hm... she's as crazy as ever... Okeydoke. Knowing her, I'm guessing she screwed up some experiment. Hm, hm, yes. Typical. Let us return to the subject at hand, hm?"
"What is it you need to tell me?" Link asked, tilting his head as the researcher adjusted his glasses.
"Did you know that the Calamity is regaining it's power?" He asked, and you both nodded. "Hm... then I suppose I don't need to tell you my story?" You both shrugged, and he went on. "Well... the goal of our Sheikah lab is simple... we aim to destroy the Calamity that had endured over ages. To rid Hyrule of its dark influence... and above all... to rescue Princess Zelda, who is now a prisoner of the Calamity."
