The sound of birds chirping was your wake up call, and you knew it was time to get up and get ready to go. Ready to face the final challenge of this Calamity.
You got out of bed and started digging through your bag to find your clothes, and once you had what you needed, you walked into the ruins of your bathroom and began getting yourself changed. Fortunately, the door connecting the two rooms somehow still worked.
"Link, wake up." You said as you grabbed your sword and scabbard and pulled it onto your back, and you heard the young knight groan as he hid his face in his pillow. "Link." Still no answer. "Champion Link, your breakfast is being served in bed! Delicious pancakes with wildberries!" He let one side of his face peek out of the pillow, opening an eye to glance at you. "We have a kingdom to save today."
"Right, right... I know..." He went to get up, but before he could, he slid off the couch and landed with a thud on the floor. "Ow..." You sighed and began getting a few of his things ready, throwing him a few wildberries to eat while he woke himself up.

"I'm ready. Ready to save Hyrule and Princess Zelda!" Link exclaimed. "The strongest, coolest and best looking Champion in the group." He smiled at himself as he flexed in the mirror - the one side of it that wasn't shattered into a million little pieces.
"Alright, hero. We have to get going while the day is young and the Calamity jerk is still weak." You took the last bite of your apple before looking over yourself to make sure you were completely ready, and you even had the scrolls by your side again - just in case they started working again, even a little bit would help. "Are you ready?"
"Right. I'm... I'm ready, I'm just a little nervous. I mean you would be too if you had to defeat a giant malice monster trying to destroy the world." He shrugged, and you rolled your eyes.
"I do have to defeat a giant malice monster trying to destroy the world."
"Oh... right." He rubbed the back of his neck, and you let out another sigh and patted his shoulder.
"I'm nervous too, Link. But we have to overcome that so we can beat this guy! We're two strong warriors, and we can take Ganon down if we're both convinced we're ready, right?" You said, and he nodded. "Okay, so, I'm ready, you're ready, no nervousness at all involved, end of conversation."
"Wait, _____!" He called as you opened your door, and you looked back at him with your eyebrow raised. "Where's my sword?"
"Right there on the couch. Grab it, and anything else you need, and let's get rolling." You headed out into the decaying hallway while Link did his final preparations before running after you to catch up to you in the hallway. "You excited to see Zelda again?"
"I am," He breathed, thinking back on some of the things you had told him. "I hope she won't be mad at us for taking so long to get here." You chuckled a bit, but secretly, you wished the same thing. It hadn't been your fault, yet still, you wanted to let her know how sorry you were. "I guess we'll find out after this, huh?" He asked, and you gave him a firm nod.

"Here we are." You said as you walked up to the throne room, looking around what was once a room filled with power and glory. The power part was still there, you supposed. "Ready?" You asked, and Link gave you a firm nod. "Then let's do this."
"Zelda?" Link called as you got inside, looking up at the sanctum. "Zelda! We're here! Can you hear us?" No answer. Not for a few long seconds, but then you could hear the voice Link had likely been hearing all this time.
"_____... Link... I'm sorry... but my power isn't strong enough... I can't hold him..."
Suddenly, a laser shot out of the sanctum, and it started shooting all around the castle, slicing through the walls and floors. It continued to shoot everywhere, barely missing you and Link, and then more lasers broke open the purple ball and steam was released from it's sides.
