"HYAH! And that's how it's done!" With a single swing of his new Wind Cleaver, he sent three or four bokoblins flying to their doom. "Easy peasy wildberry squeezy!" He went to collect the weapons before following you out of the forest, and once you had made it back to the path, you could see a gate up ahead. "That must be Hateno!"

The pair of you made it to the gate, horses trotting behind you, and you were immediately welcomed by the scents of fresh bread and birds chirping all around. While Link was busy admiring the new place, you looked around for a place for lunch, and went straight to talk to the owner of the general store.

"And yes, that will all come down to a total of four hundred and twenty seven, miss." You gave him the money before wrapping up your food in a bag, and then Link came over to see what you bought for lunch.

"Daddy!" A young boy burst through the doors and dashed to the desk with a beaming smile. "I defeated the Bokoblins that were in the forest!" He proclaimed, and the man smiled and rustled his hair.

"Wonderful job, Aldin! We'll have to inform your mother of this once she gets back!" He beamed, and the little boy clapped his hands and jumped.

"Actually-" You went to add that you and Link may have had something to do with it, but Link quickly walked past you and kneeled down to the boy.

"Good job, kid!" He held his fist out, and Aldin laughed and fist bumped him. "One day, you're gonna be a real hero! I can already tell." Link smiled, and this made the little boy even happier. You smiled softly and went back to sorting your food while Link congratulated Aldin.

"Tenra! Aldin beat the Bokoblins in the forest!" The shop owner exclaimed as soon as his wife walked into the shop, a baby held to her hip and a young girl standing right next to her. "Isn't our boy a real hero?"

"Really? Oh, Aldin, that's wonderful." The woman smiled at her son, and he ran over to tell his little sister all about it. She was listening, but glanced over at you and Link every so often.

"Okay, Link, we just have to figure out where to cook all of this stuff now that we have it." You lifted the bag and handed it to him, and he thought. "Perhaps the inn has a place."

"You could always eat lunch with us." You looked down to see the little girl standing by Link, looking up at you timidly with her hands behind her back.

"What a great idea, Milla!" The shop owner grinned. "If you two want, you may eat with us. We have a cooking pot outside." He offered, and you and Link happily agreed.

"I thank you for letting us share your cooking pot." You told Tenra as you got up and set your plate beside your bag, and she smiled and nodded. "Are you done yet?" You looked down at Link, who was still happily munching on his food. "Here, while you finish eating, I'll go do the shrine up there, okay?"

"Fine, but don't get yourself blown up or anything, okay?" You rolled your eyes and agreed before taking the Sheikah Slate, and he leaned back against the log stump he was sitting by. "It would make it awful hard for me to get the Slate back if you got stuck in there."

"That's all your worried about?" You scoffed, and he only shrugged and stuffed another apple slice into his mouth before stretching his arms out behind his head. "Poor boy. Do you even know how humbled you would be if I wasn't here helping you?"

"Hey!" He snapped, and you walked away laughing. "Hm. Can you believe her? Insulting the hero. Me! It's ridiculous." He took a bite of a durain. "I'll show her what it's like to be humbled."

"So, you two are trying to save Hyrule from the Calamity?" Tenra asked him, and he nodded pridefully. "Do you really hold the special sword people have legends of?"
