"_____...?" Link's eyes opened slowly as he adjusted to the light above him, and when he finally managed to get his vision to settle, he saw the blue sky above him. Fluffy white clouds floated by, and he enjoyed the calmness of it all before he remembered. He quickly sat up and looked around.

Calamity Ganon was gone.

Hyrule Castle looked normal again, while still in ruins, but it was no longer covered in malice or a home to monsters. Hyrule was once again at peace from the looks of it, and the Divine Beasts were still in their places.

"_____! We did it! We... we..." He looked around for you, the bright smiling on his face growing more dim with every second he couldn't see you. "_____?" He spotted Zelda kneeling in the middle of the field, a golden glow to her that quickly faded. "_____! Where are you?" He called out, trying to find you somewhere. But you were no where in sight.

He glanced back at Zelda, who was looking down at something. He walked over to her and sat down to see what she was looking at, and he saw the Elemental Scroll in her hands. She was whimpering quietly as she held it, and he reached out and placed his hand under hers.

She let a few tears fall from her eyes, and they all rolled down her cheeks and dampened her dress as they landed on it. She and Link continued to just stare at it for a few long moments. Only until it started to turn a glowing green color at the edges and began fading away.

Both of them gasped a bit as the last of it disappeared from their touch and the sparks flew with the gentle breeze heading South towards the Great Plateau. Zelda had already put the pieces together, but Link was just then making the realization.

You and Ganon had shared the same fate.

He didn't want to believe that it was true. He didn't want to believe that you were really gone. After all that you had been through. Waking up without your memories, learning of Ganon all over again, traveling Hyrule to rescue the Champions that risked their lives to save their beloved kingdom. You were the only person he was truly familiar with since he woke up. He knew you couldn't be gone just like that.

"_____!!!" He cried out, standing up to look around for you again. He felt... lost. One moment you were there with him, fighting alongside him in the battle you had been preparing for for months, and in a moment's notice, you weren't. "No," The whispered word rushed from his mouth as he stared out at the Plateau. "No. She can't be... it's not... it's not true!"

"Link," Zelda released a shaky breath as she looked up at him, eyes still filled with water. "I'm sorry." She walked up behind him and placed her hands on his shoulders, but he quickly walked away from her. Still staring at the Plateau.

"She's here somewhere. I... I can feel it!" Link said, a small smile coming to his face. "_____!"

"Yes Link," Zelda walked in front of him, and then grabbed his hand. "Right here." She placed it on his chest, and he let out a breath and just stared at her hand. The triforce had faded from it, but it reminded him.

"It's... it's my fault she's gone." He pulled away from her, covering his mouth with his hand. "Had I not missed that last shot, I... we would all be here right now." He fell to his knees, and Zelda fell with him, hands once again on his shoulders.

"Of course it's not," She told him, reaching to grab his hand. "Had she not forced you to miss that last shot, you wouldn't be here right now. No matter what," She didn't want to say it. "We couldn't have all three made it out of that thing."

"She would deserve to be here more." He breathed, looking at the ribbon that was left from the scroll. "She's been working her whole life for this."

"Exactly." Zelda said, and Link tilted his head. "After all of that hard work throughout her life, she and the Champions can finally rest." She told him, and he could only nod and agree as she pulled him into a hug.
