"Happy Inauguration Day, Champions!" Rhoam exclaimed as he walked into the large room you were in with the other champions and Zelda. "How do you all feel?" Everyone had been relatively happy all day and getting along and stuff. It was a great day so far. "Are you all ready?"

"I've been ready since the day I met _____ and knew she had begun the search." Revali answered, wings sliding past your hair as he walked by you, and you rolled your eyes with a chuckle. "You could have inaugurated me that day and I would have been ready.

"Alright, Ace Archer. Remember how I accidentally pierced your wing with an arrow because you weren't paying attention?" You snorted out a laugh, and he went red and huffed as he looked away from you. "I feel ready."

"So do I. We've had a long journey with our training and becoming more aware of our duties." Urbosa finished her hair, giving herself one more look in the mirror before she got up from her seat. "I think we're going to do just fine, the eight of us."

"Yeah!" Daruk and Mipha both agreed, and Zelda and Link nodded as you stood behind them and rested your arms on their shoulders. It all finally felt like it would be okay. After months now of training and working with the entire new champion group, ever since Link pulled the sword, everyone was doing better. The champions understood a bit more about their Divine Beasts. Link and Zelda were both looking a bit more confident on the battlefield. All was starting to look as it should.

"Wonderful. I must head back to finish the final preparations, but you all take your time and I'll see you downstairs shortly." He bowed his head to all you of, and the rest of you did the same before going back to getting ready for the ceremony.

"I have belief that we'll do just fine in this battle." Daruk said, wrapping his champion's garb around him, crossing under the big chain wrapped around him already. "We're all the best warriors in Hyrule. Nothing can stop us!"

"I agree with Daruk. We can save Hyrule from Calamity Ganon!" Mipha smiled, making sure her lanyard looked good on her, with the added opinion from Urbosa and Zelda. "I see so much promise in us as well as our leaders."

"I see more than so much." Revali added, resting his beak on top of your head. "I know _____ will prove stronger in this battle. I've seen what she can do." He gently pecked your cheek a few times, wrapping his wings around your waist and pulling you into him as you grabbed his wings, now a bright red giggling mess.

"We meant all three, bird-brain." Urbosa glanced over, adding a stroke to her eye makeup. "But yes, _____, Zelda and Link will take us through this battle the way it is meant to be fought!" She raised her fist, a proud smile on her face as she put her small makeup kit away.

"Yeah!" Everyone agreed, except Revali, as he was too busy peppering your face and neck with kisses behind you, ignoring everyone else around.

"Revali," You playfully slapped his wing, and he looked up from what he was doing for a moment. "I know you love me but you're going to have to wait." He went a bit red, resting him beak on your shoulder with a slight pout. "It's okay, honey, when we get home you can love me all you want." Revali gave you one last squeeze, the sudden action causing you to erupt into giggles, and then you kissed the tip of his beak as you turned around.

"Alright, lovebirds, that's enough." Urbosa commented, chuckling to herself at how lovable Revali was to you. It was rare for them to see him showing affection. Not for you though, no sir! He would act so tough, so bold around the champions and anyone else but for the nights and occasional days he was alone with you, BAM, he melted into this sweet, affectionate rito that would show his love to you with no boundaries.

"The bird actually shows love." Link remarked quietly, and Zelda gave him a small nudge. Fortunately, everyone had gotten comfortable to the point they could speak to every other champion in such a way.

"Yes, as a matter of fact I do." He snickered, helping you off the couch. "And for your information, I've been showing love to this woman since before you were even born." He turned to you. "Even if she didn't know it yet." You softly giggled as you reached out for his beak, and he looked confused as to why you were doing this. "W-What?"

"You have lipstick on your beak." You smiled, and he blushed and placed his wing on his cheek. "Urbosa, would you be so kind as to give Revali something to clean his beak with?" She laughed and nodded as you sent the now red bird over to her, and she gave him something to clean his beak with. Normally, he wouldn't mind. But he wasn't an exception of everyone wanting to look perfect for the event.

"Well, we're all ready, right?" Zelda asked, and everyone nodded, you running over to get your lipstick back out so you could fix it again around your own mouth. "So now we just wait to be collected."

"Champion collectables... Can't say I can argue with that." Daruk let out a laugh as he brought his fingers to his chin, and Revali nudged him once he got back over to him. "What? Am I the only one who actually likes that idea?"

"Excuse me, champions," You could see Abby on the other side of the large wooden door that opened, and she hardly had time to finish her sentence before your daughter dashed into the room and ran right into Revali's leg, an act that nearly tripped the poor bird. "The little ones wanted to see you." You walked to the door and happily took Kai from her, and he smiled and reached up for you.

"Daddy!" Amalia hugged her father's leg, and he chuckled and picked her up. "I'm so fast! Did you see?!" She placed his wings on his cheeks, practically bouncing in his arms. You wouldn't be surprised if one day she just flew into the room and did the same thing. "I'm gonna be so fast when I grow up! Just like you!"

"I'd almost say it would depend, but I'm afraid for you Amalia, both of your parents carry all the speed and strength you'll ever need in life." Urbosa chuckled, smiling at Kai as you walked back to her side.

"You are going to grow up as fast and as strong as me, you wanna know how I know?" He asked, setting her down, and she nodded. "Because you're the daughter of not only your super epic, powerful, and very determined and courageous rito dad," He held his wings out as if he were flexing, and she smiled. "But your also the daughter of your super epic, powerful, and very determined and courageous hylian mom." She looked at you, that same beaming smile on her face from when she was looking at her father.

"Both of which become two of Hyrule's champions today!" Daruk lifted her up with just one hand, and she laughed.

"Kai! Mom and Dad become champions today!" She called to her little brother, who only giggled and put your finger in his beak, nibbling on it. "Are you guys going to save Hyrule?!"

"That's what the champions do, sweetheart." You chuckled, seeing her smile only get bigger. "We're going to make sure our precious land stays safe." Kai bit a little harder on your finger, so you lifted him up and held him over you, making faces at him to make him laugh.

"Champions," The door was opened again, but this time by Janelle. She had on a similar outfit to Rhoam, and it had been a long time since you've seen her dress as a Hyrulean Royal would. "It is time for your inauguration." You smiled, and she gave you one back, and all seven of you glanced between each other before nodding and following her out to the throne room where Rhoam and everyone else was waiting.
