"We can stay here forever and play this game, _____." Kohga panted, hand weakly gripping the lever next to him. If he pulled it, it would trigger one of two things to happen. Problem was, he didn't know which one. "Fun fact: Strong, bold sheikah men live longer than little, puny hylian girls."
"And that Kohga," You breathed, wanting to groan with the weight of the chains over you back but not letting yourself. "Is why you won't last a day down here." He huffed, almost accidentally pulling his lever but watching himself. "I want to play, but I've decided maybe the loser of the last game should go first." You smiled, and he looked like he wanted to scream. "So go on, Kohga. It's your turn."

'Earlier that day...'
"I'm sorry," You whispered as your aunt finished telling you the story. The story of over twenty-one years ago. "I didn't know any of that happened. I..." You were at a complete loss of words. The way she had been so driven to kill Sooga. The reason lied obvious now.
"It's alright, _____," She held her hand up, giving you a slight look of sorrow. "It was a long time ago. What matters now is that we've at least won that battle." The whole time she had been looking down at a little photo in her hands. "This was your cousin, Jack." She handed it to you, and you realized something.
He looked just a little familiar.
"I didn't want you to be driven to the same fate as I was, dear, I wanted to at least help to prevent such a thing from happening again. And you've proven to be stronger than I ever could have been." She was talking as she slowly paced in a line, and you were still focused entirely on the photo.
"Janelle," You started, breath slightly shaky as you put the dots together. "I saw him." Jack. He was the one that you made a deal with. He had given his life up so you could have a better aim on Sooga. He's been alive. "At the clan." She went silent for a moment before a sad smile crossed her lips.
"I know you miss him too, dear. He was your little cousin. You two were close when you were young." She gently pet your head, and you were about to add to your statement, but the doors opened, and Rhoam walked in with the champions and Zelda behind him.
"Ah! There you two are. We must get down to the Yiga Clan as soon as possible. We received word that Master Kohga is on a very busy schedule outside of the clan." He said, and Janelle nodded and held her hand out for you, which you took with a small amount of hesitance.
"Very well. _____, dear, you should go get ready. This is the day we save little Amalia and everyone else that was captured by them." She pulled you up from your spot on her bed, and all you could do was nod and head to your room with Revali by your side.
"Revali, can I... can I talk to you about something?" You asked as you grabbed your armor and began putting on the larger pieces. He was sitting on your bed making sure the new wing plate designs would hold up.
"Of course, you can always talk to me about anything, you know that." He told you as you adjusted your chest plate once it was on. "Is this something about the battle? Please don't tell me you have any reason to believe Sooga's still alive."
"That's not it." You sighed, pushing your hair out of your face so it wouldn't get in the way. "It's... about my late cousin." You couldn't see him as you were in a separate room, but you knew he was probably tilting his head. "It's my fault he was killed."
"_____, I don't want you blaming yourself for a single death that's happened. Not ever." He got closer to the door, leaning against the side of the frame so he could be as close to you as possible without invading your privacy. "Why is this all of a sudden coming up anyways? What happened?"
