(Multiple sudden scene changes upcoming)

"Kai?" Kass called as he flew through the snow that was starting. His eyes scanned the area well, but even noting his usual ability to see through it, he was slowly losing track of anything that moved. Finally, he saw a bomb arrow explode, and he knew he had to get down there to bring him back before the blizzard got bad.

His feet landed in the snow and he wiped some of the cold frost off his wings and walked over to his friend who was sitting in the snow, panting after releasing another arrow, which exploded in the distance.

Pieces of light blue hair were in his face as he looked down at his footprints in the snow, and he lowered his weapon. His dark green eyes flickered up to see the dark smoke from the explosion mixing with the light snow falling from the sky.

"Kai!" He felt a wing on his shoulder, and he quickly turned around to see Kass, his best friend standing behind. "We have our archery class soon! We have to get back to the village!" The little rito stood up and shook his head to get the little bit of snow off, and he smiled and nodded.

"Kass! Kai!" Eagle landed on the ground with Kaneli right behind him, and Kass ran over to hug the other young rito. "We have to get back in time for your class. Where's your sister?" Kai looked behind him to see Amalia fiddling with her bow, growing frustrated with it. "Amalia! We have to go!"

Amalia didn't answer, and Eagle sighed and shook his head as he heard Orville and Parro landing in behind him. Kass ran to Parro, and Orville patted Kai's head.

"I would hate for you to be late!" He called again, recieving only a huff from the young girl. "Amalia." He walked over to her to help her, but she yanked her bow away and glared at him.

"Leave me alone! I don't need your help!" She glanced to her younger brother who looked a bit upset when she got mad. She then ran off towards the ledge and jumped, using the draft to catch her and allow her to fly somewhere else.

"Amalia! Get back here this instant!" Eagle called, and he was about to fly after her, but Parro placed his hand on his shoulder. "What am I supposed to do for her?"

"Be easy with her, Eagle. The last thing she needs from us is scolding." Parro told him, and he agreed and then walked off to the ledge anyways. "We'll get these three to class. If she doesn't want to come today, that's okay."

"Thanks, guys." Eagle gave them a thumbs up before he flew off after Amalia, and Orville and Parro got the three little ritos to class. Though, Kai wasn't happy his sister didn't come with him.

Eagle stepped into the room that once belonged to his friend, seeing the little blue bird curled up on the large bed in the middle. He sighed and knocked gently on the doorframe, but she didn't answer. He walked in and sat down next to her, and placed his wing on hers when he heard her sniffling.

"Amalia," He whispered, remembering what Parro had said. "What's wrong? If it's about your bow, I can get you a new one." He looked at the little bow that sat in the corner beside a couple larger ones, and Amalia sat up, the glare she held on him earlier still remaining in her eyes. "Is that what it is?"

"Of course that's not what this is about!" She snapped, and while he was taken back by her sudden anger returning, he said nothing. "It's about you! And Orville and Parro! You might be able to fool Kai but you can't with me!"

"What are you talking about?" Eagle asked, still trying to stay calm. He had enough patience for this kind of thing, but out of Amalia, now that was a different story. "I'm going to need you to elaborate. Something has been off with you these last few weeks and I'm doing everything I can to make it better. What am I doing wrong?"
