Link hummed as he strolled back up the hill, enjoying the peace of the night and the crickets chirping along with the other ambience. He returned to the little camp he left you at to find both you and the old man asleep, and he sat down next to you and looked out at the castle.

"Link? Oh, you came back." You yawned and rubbed your eyes, and he quickly turned his head to look at you, and he nodded. "Where did you go again?"

"I had to go do another shrine. He said he'll give me a paraglider so I can leave the Plateau if I complete all of them." He told you, reaching to grab a few mushrooms, acorns and apples he had stored in his bag before setting them all out next to the fire to cook.

"Can I ask you something?" You asked, and he nodded as he spread everything out around the wood, close enough to get the prime of the heat but not too much as to catch on fire. "Do you remember me?" Link looked over you and sighed.

"I don't. I'm sorry." You nodded slowly, and he returned back to his spot once he was done getting the food set. "Am I supposed to remember you guys?" He asked, and you looked over at the man. Still sound asleep, he was. "He asked me that too, and I... I don't remember anything."

"It's alright. I'm going to help you, and we'll get through this and save Hyrule together." You gave him a small reassuring smile, and he gave one back and nodded. "What are these shrines you have to do?"

"They're like mini trials," He said as he leaned against the rock wall. "I complete them using a rune given to me on the Sheikah Slate, and then I get Spirit Orbs."

"How many have you done? And how many are there?" You tilted your head, watching as he grabbed the first of the mushrooms to have cooked, and he handed it to you. "Thank you."

"I've done two. One for Cryonis, and the other for Magnesis." He grabbed another mushroom and bit into it, and you waited for yours to cool first. "There's still two more I have to do."

"So that was how you freed me." You said, and he nodded. "I wish to come with you for the next two. I want to see what their like." You started nibbling on your mushroom, and had to admit it was better than you expected it to be.

"I could use the help." He smiled, and that's when you heard the old man yawn as he stretched his arms a bit. "Oh, you're awake!" He beamed, and the man nodded.

"You've brought an early breakfast, I see." He chuckled, and Link nodded before motioning for him to have some. "I thank you." He took a mushroom, and just as you did, waited for it to cool. "Did you complete the next shrine?"

"Yep! I'm halfway there." He finished his food, and then took a couple acorns to munch on. "I'm gonna head out and do the next one in a few hours. I haven't slept in a while, so I'm going to take a nap."

"That would be a wise decision." The man nodded as he grabbed his stick and lantern, and quickly lit the lantern with the fire. "You both should sleep for longer. I must head out and get my early morning hunting completed."

"Sounds good. We'll be fine, right- wait what did you say your name was again?" Link looked up at you as he got himself comfortable, pulling a light blanket out from his bag.

"I'm _____." The sound of your own name in your ears was odd. Very odd indeed. It felt like it had been ages since you've heard it. Link smiled and reached up for your hand, and you shook his.

"Well I'm Link, but you've already seemed to know that." He said, and you laughed softly. "Right! _____ and I will be just fine, sir, I-" He stopped and you both realized he already left, and even after looking around for a few moments you failed to spot him. Link just shrugged and turned over so he could fall asleep, and you decided to get a bit more rest as well.
