(Sudden scene change upcoming - beware)

"Alright, _____, I'll confess," Link stopped as you walked up the hill, and he sighed and stepped back. "I don't want to go fight that thing. I know we've gone over all this hero stuff, but Sidon's description of this beast kinda scares me."

"It's nothing to worry about, Link. You've fought them before, even if you don't remember, and besides, I'm here. I've got your back." You told him, carefully walking up to a rock and hiding behind it while you prepared your weapons.

"Is that the lynel?" Link looked behind the rock, stepping further out than he meant to, and you had to pull him back to your side. "How powerful do you suppose it is?"

"It's a red maned lynel, so from my experience, pretty weak compared to the others." You prepared your bow with bomb arrows and made sure you had easy access to your sword. "We'll be just fine." You reached into your bag and rummaged around for a few more arrows in case, and you felt the scroll. "I'll prove to you I'm can do this without the scroll."

You dashed away from Link, beginning to make a large circle around the area the lynel was inhabiting. It didn't take too long for the beast to notice you, and you quickly drew your bowstring back with a bomb arrow, and released it even quicker.

It got a headshot, so the lynel was stunned for a moment so you could rush in and hop on it's back before you started rapidly slashing at it over and over again. Link began shooting regular arrows to help, standing on top of the tallest rock he could find.

You kept whacking the lynel with your claymore, eventually getting thrown off it's back once Link's arrow missed it's head and it regained it's control. It turned around and then got ready to run at you, but you quickly ducked, slicing your sword through it's belly.

It growled loudly and stopped, resting for a moment before pulling out it's bow and aiming and not you, rather Link. It shot a shock arrow, and Link luckily already had his shield out and ready to block it. Then he came up with an idea.

"_____! Let it shoot me! I can collect the arrows on my shield!" You agreed and backed down, letting the lynel circle the rock Link was on, and it shot him over and over again. He kept getting arrows, and thought his plan was going great until he noticed the shield starting cracking when it was hit. "_____?" He called, and when you looked, he pointed to the cracking spot.

"Hey lynel! Come here!" You whistled as loudly as you could, but the man-beast payed you not one bit of attention. On his next shot, Link's shield broke. "Link!"

The lynel aimed another arrow, and the only think Link could do was raise his sword above his head, knowing you wouldn't make it across the field in time to stop the shot. And then he threw his sword, right as the lynel shot his arrow.

The trident pierced the Lynels chest, and for a second there was hope. Hope in the little zora princess's eyes that she saved herself. But then the lynel grabbed the trident and yanked it from it's chest. The tiny smile on Mipha's face dropped so fast.

The lynel held out the silver trident she had used, and then squeezed it so hard it snapped in half. Mipha gasped.

The beast growled and pulled out it's sword, staring down the princess with glowing green eyes. The only thing she could really see in the darkness and rain, except for when lightning struck and illuminated it's body.

It got ready to swing at her, and she had no other defenses to protect herself. She felt helpless in this situation. All she did was raise her hands over her head and close her eyes, not knowing what else to do. But she looked up one more time.

The lightning flashed, allowing her to see a large zora leaping up behind the beast, and as soon as it became dark again, she could hear a loud, ferocious roar emit from the lynel.

Before she could process exactly what was happening, she felt herself get picked up and carried across the grass, before she got set down by a big rock, and when she looked to see who carried her, she only saw two golden eyes, but she heard a voice, and knew instantly it was her mother.

The lynel roared again, and the first zora kept attacking it over and over again, relentlessly. She almost thought she could see more than one person fighting the lynel, but as her mother rushed back out to help, she only sat there under the rock's protection, shivering from not only the cold but also fear.

She saw a few electric explosions, and after a bit, she could hear the defeat of the lynel. But by then, she was already drifting off to sleep.

"Mipha... Mipha, wake up..." She opened her eyes to see her mother sitting beside her, and she also realized the rain had stopped and it was slightly lighter out. "You're safe now, dear." She sat up and hugged her, and then she looked around at the others.

"Father," She reached out for her father's hand, who quickly gave it to her, and she then glanced to his left, where Rinhfyn and Sarhsad were standing. In Dorephan's other arm was Sidon. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry, Mipha. We're only glad you and your brother are okay." He gave her a soft smile, and she gripped onto Lily tighter. "I just wish you wouldn't come up here."

"Sidon came to look for some flowers for you, mother, and I knew it'd be dangerous so I went with him." The princess managed to explain, and the queen nodded and gently pet her head. "I didn't want him to get hurt."

"You aren't hurt and Sidon isn't hurt. That's all that matters, and we just want you to stay away from the mountain, okay?" Sarhsad said, glancing to Sidon as the little prince held his hand out for him, and he held out his finger for him to wrap his hand around. Mipha nodded.

"What you did was very brave today, Mipha," Rinhfyn kneeled down to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You are already quite the zora warrior." He smiled, and Mipha finally did too. Sarhsad cleared his throat a bit. "Oh, but yes, please listen to your mother and father when they tell you to stay away from here. It isn't a place at all for young Zora."

"I'll make sure Sidon and I don't come back up here." Mipha said, and everyone let out relieved breaths and nodded. "I promise."
