"I can't believe it. Sooga has my daughter." You leaned against the table, staring in disbelief at the letter sent to you by your enemy. "All this time and we thought he gave up."
"We're going to find her, _____. I promise." Urbosa placed her hands on your shoulders, and you sighed and leaned your head against your own hand. "He knows as soon as he does anything with her, his plan won't work." You looked over the message again and again and again. Trying to make sense of it.
Dearest _____,
I would like to inform you that your little Amalia is safe with me, and I will keep her well fed and hydrated for you. Although...
You have two weeks. Fourteen days to come collect her or I will have to get rid of her. That's a fair amount of time to babysit without payment, wouldn't you think?
- Your friend, Sooga
"It only makes me wonder why he just took her." You thought to yourself as you looked over at Revali, who was silently rocking Kai to sleep. He hadn't spoken much all day. "We have to get in there and find her."
"But Kohga and Sooga have the advantage of hiding and locking off the clan to new people. I hate having to say it but we may need to go through with the invasion sooner than just three months."
"But Urbosa!" You stood up, slamming your palms to the table. "We don't have our armies ready! We have a terribly high chance of losing if we leave any sooner, and I don't want us to fail, and," You took a breath. "I don't know. This is terrifying."
"I know, _____, but one way or another we're going to push through this war and get Amalia back, I promise you." Rhoam reached out across the table, and you set your hand in his with a nod and a sigh. "You aren't alone in this. We're all a team." You looked over to your husband, who seemed lost in a daze in his spot.
"Revali?" He didn't answer you. "Revali." You got up and walked over to him, setting your hand on his wing, which startled him a bit. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, _____, I'm totally okay with the knowledge that my daughter is out there in the hands of our enemy with a time limit on retrieving her." He hissed, looking away from you and back to your son, who was peacefully sleeping in his little swaddle. "I'd think you'd feel the same but you don't seem it with a question like that."
"Excuse me?" You gasped, putting your hand to your chest. "Sorry for asking." You scoffed, folding your arms as you looked away.
"Don't do this, you two." Urbosa warned, walking over to Revali. "Don't let this pull you apart. If anything, we need to be holding you two together." She reached out for Kai, and while Revali didn't correspond, she took him anyways to his dismay. "We need to all work together to rescue her. We have a few days to get in there and try."
"Then we have to start preparing. If we're going to attack early, then we have to use every single second we have to train." You walked to the doors and pushed them open. "Rhoam, tell General Minken to send the entire army down to the lower coliseum."
"But-"
"Immediately." You stormed out of the room, and Janelle bowed to everyone and rushed out after you.
"_____, I understand that you're scared and worried, but you need to let us help you. This is everybody's fight." She followed you down the hall, and you stopped and turned to her. "You can't do this alone, dear."
"I know. I just want Amalia home and safe." She pulled you into a tight embrace, and you took a breath and tried to relax yourself for a moment. While you felt peaceful for a few long seconds, you started to feel dizzy. Then you felt wings on your back.
