“I know a spot we can stay at for the night until we head into the village. I don’t want to be traveling in the middle of a blizzard just in case it’s too far.” You and Link rode your horses along the path leading into the Hebra, and you could hear Link sneezing. “Really not used to the cold, huh?”

“It’s not my fault,” He managed to get out as he wrapped his blanket around him tighter. “Maybe it’s not that I’m weak to the cold, you could be more resistant and just trying to make me feel bad!” He huffed, and you laughed and waved your hand around, which only made him more frustrated. “Where is this spot you speak of anyways? Are we close? Is it warm?”

“It’s just up the road here. But first,” You reached behind you for your bow. “I think our friends would like to join us.” You looked out to what you remembered to be the entrance of this place and saw a few horses with bokoblins riding them, and they didn’t take much longer to spot you and your companion.

Link pulled out his halberd - something you were surprised still made it even after the fight with Waterblight – and started riding towards them. You ran out in the other direction, hoping to circle them while you shot arrows at them, and Link swung around his weapon and hit one of its horse.

You were being careful of where you were shooting as you didn’t want to hurt the horses and managed to knock a blue one down and free it’s steed. You ran towards a red one with your sword in hand and stabbed it before shoving it off the horse, and you looked back to see Link fighting two more. As quickly as you could, you rushed in to help, and those two were taken down rather easily.

“There it is!” You beamed as you turned and saw the small wooden hut hidden in the mountains, and you rode your horse onto the path leading to it. Once you got to it, you made sure your horses would be safe from the storm before climbing up the ladder. You got to the top and then helped Link up, but when you turned around, you saw a rito sitting on the platform.

“Can I help you?” You heard them say, and you told Link to stay where he was while you walked over to the person.

“I apologize if I interrupted you. We only came to stay and hide from the blizzard, but we can go if you-“ He held his wing up, glancing back at your slightly. Link started unpacking some food before sorting it and putting some in the cooking pot, and you looked back out at the targets. They looked different than the ones you remembered.

“Thank you,” You breathed as you sat down next to Link, taking one of the milk glasses he hand in his hand. You sipped from it as you watched your food cook, and in the meantime, you munched on a couple wildberries.

“What brings two hylians out here, anyways?” The rito asked, still winding string around his bow while he stared out into the cold mountain range beyond him. “This isn’t exactly a safe place tourism.”

“We aren’t touring,” Link said before he stuffed another berry into his mouth. “We’re coming to save Vah Rudania from Ganon and take it back to our side.” Link swallowed those before grabbing a couple acorns. “I’m the hero!” The rito raised an eyebrow as he looked at you, and you grabbed the Sheikah Slate.

“Vah Medoh, Link. We, as two of the last living champions, have been tasked by Lady Impa and King Rhoam to free the four Divine Beasts.” The bird looked at you blankly for a moment before he snorted out a laugh.

“You two are funny. Now, really though if you’re coming to look around, now is not the best time. It so happens that the Divine Beast in the sky is causing us problems and I have to stop it before it gets worse.” He continued working on his bow, and you got up and walked over to him with the map loaded up on the screen.

“That’s exactly why we’re here.” You shoved the device in his face, and he looked over it carefully. “We’ve already gone to Zora’s Domain to free Vah Ruta, and now we have to do the same for the other three.” You let him hold the slate, and he looked over it a bit more before handing it back to you. “Do you believe me now?”
