Chapter 28: Mipha's Grace

"Sidon! We're here with the shock arrows!" You and Link hurried over to the fish prince, who was standing at the edge of the dock staring out at Vah Ruta. He quickly swiveled his head around and smiled when he saw you. "What do we need to do now?"

"For this, we'll need to work as a team. All three of us." He pointed out to Ruta's shoulders, each holding a glowing pink orb. "Those are the orbs that need to be hit by the arrows. I'll have to get you out there to shoot them."

"Are you able to carry us both?" Link asked as he dipped his foot into the water, surprised that it wasn't as cold as he thought it would be.

"It may be a bit more difficult but I can try." Sidon breathed. "You have twenty shock arrows?" You nodded, and he returned it. "Then let us be going." He leaped into the water, and quickly popped his head out, and turned around. Link carefully got on his back, ready with the shock arrows, and then looked back at you. "Are you coming?"

"I have an idea." You told them, and then you reached out for the shock arrows. Link, while confused, handed them to you, and you shoved them into your quiver, but took one out. You held it up, and then shocked it with a bit more power. "I can make the arrows more powerful. Besides, Link, we agreed I may have slightly better aim than you."

"But I thought you couldn't use your powers?" Link watched with concern as you lifted the water up next to you and stepped onto it, while Sidon watched with amazement. "What if they stop working and you get hurt?"

"I'll be fine. You just try and ward off any attacks Ruta might use on us." You made sure you felt comfortable with your ability before getting ready. "Just in case, here's a few arrows. But I'll handle most of it." You gave him back a few arrows, and he agreed. "Let's get going then!" With that, the three of you made your way to Vah Ruta, and both you and Sidon had to turn away when Ruta responded to your presence, but just as quickly you went back in.

"Link! The ice blocks!" Sidon and Link both looked out to see large blocks of ice hurdling towards them, and Link grabbed the Sheikah Slate, activated Cryonis and starting breaking them one by one. Meanwhile, you were on the other side of the Divine Beast, getting your bow ready. But that's when you noticed the ice blocks appear on your side, and as you reached out to try and break them, you heard Link call out for you before he began shattering them with the slate.

"Thanks, Link!" You pushed yourself up with the water, and at the same time you electrocuted the arrow and shot it, so when it hit the orb, it did an immense amount of damage. You landed back in the water and kept going, waiting for the next opening. After Link destroyed the ice blocks on the other side again, you rushed over there and did the same thing to one of the orbs on that side. Going good so far.

As you hurried back around, you prepared your bow again, only to see ice spikes form instead of cubes. Link broke the ones he could, and one of them you had to break. It took more energy out of you than you would have liked, but you still went to shoot the next arrow anyways. As you got close enough, you pushed yourself up with water once again and shot another shock arrow. Three down, one to go.

The next attack from Vah Ruta was cubes and spikes, so you quickly knew you would have to stay close to Link and help with them. You stayed by Sidon's side, managing to knock a few out of the way, but it was exhausting. You were close enough and ready to shoot the last arrow, but one last spike came towards you. You managed to break it in time, but you felt your control over the water fading. You saw Link and Sidon swimming back towards you, so you hurried to them. Link noticed the way you were moving, and he quickly pulled out a shock arrow.

You used your last bit of strength to push yourself over him, and as you flipped over him you grabbed his arrow and shocked it before falling into the water beside them before Sidon swam to the last waterfall. Link swam up and then shot the final arrow, which did it for the Divine Beast.
