"I think this is it." You breathed as you hiked up the dirt trail, starting to see wooden arches with little flags and lanterns hanging down from them. "All we need to do now is figure out where Impa is." You led him inside, and after looking around, you realized it would take a bit more than Link's map to get you to Impa.
So you went searching.
"Excuse me, would you happen to know where we might find Lady Impa?" Link leaned over the counter in one of the shops, a smile on his face. The shopkeeper was less than amused, and didn't answer. So he cleared his throat and added, "I have a duty to escort the princess of Hyrule to see her."
The woman at the desk looked at you, and then snorted out a laugh before shaking her head and walking away. You slapped your hand to your head, other villagers looking at you curiosly, and then you had to drag Link out of the shop.
"Hmph. Some people." Link folded his arms and shook his head in disappointment, and you sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose.
"Link, first of all, I don't just go anywhere bossing people around with my 'royal title'. And second, they have no idea who we are or what business we have with Impa. We'll find a way to get to her." You continued to walk around the village, trying to figure out exactly where she was. But you have very little luck.
"Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go gotta g-" You were too busy looking at the Sheikah Slate to notice the girl running towards you, and she ran right into you, dropping everything she was carrying. "Ahh!"
"Oh, miss, I'm sorry, let me help you." You quickly kneeled down to help her pick everything back up, and she frantically scooped the baskets up and you put the last few items in. "Where are you going in such a hurry with all this stuff?"
"To see my Grandmother Impa! Thank you." She hurried off once again, leaving no time for you to ask anymore questions.
"Wait! We need to see Impa too!" You reached out, but she was already too far to hear you. Link grabbed your wrist and pulled you along with him as he ran after her, hoping to be able to find out where Impa was.
She ran up a staircase to the highest house in the village and flew through the doors, letting them slam shut behind her, and you and Link smiled before rushing over.
But you were quickly stopped by the guards.
"Please state your names and your business with Lady Impa." They crossed their weapons and stared you both down, and Link held his hand out to you and cleared his throat.
"I am Link, the hero that protected the princess with the sacred power half a century ago. King Rhoam sent me." He explained, so sure his story would work. But the guards only looked at him, and then at each other, and they burst out laughing. Link lost his smile, and you gently pushed him behind you, reached into your bag and pulled out a little triangle badge you carried.
"Princess _____ of Hyrule Kingdom. The hero and I have important business with Lady Impa regarding the Great Calamity." You shoved it in their faces, and they stopped laughing immediately and bowed and let you by.
"I thought you said you didn't use your 'royal title' to boss people around?" Link asked with a smug grin as you walked up the stairs, and you put your badge away and smiled.
"Silence, hero. That's an order." You told him, and he started laughing as you nudged him. Once you got to the doors, you knocked loudly, and they were quickly opened by that same girl you had followed to get here.
"Hello! It's us again, as you can tell. We have business with Lady Impa." Link smiled nervously, and the girl looked down at the guards and then nodded and let you in.
