When Jungwon woke up, he was expecting to see the white ceiling he had in his room. However, as he opened his eyes, he saw a faint of red and brown, he still hasn't fully woke yet. He sprung up and sat down, rubbing his eyes, he finally got a clear view of his location.
Fancy curtains, huge soft bed, the place looked like he was in the victorian era or something. This bed has a canopy, he is not rich enough to afford that. He pursed his lips into a thin line and crossed his arms.
A dream
There's no other explanation for this situation. He didn't recall going outside. And there's no particular event that could lead him in this expensive looking room. So, the only logical assumption he could say is this must be a dream.
"Mr. Yang?" A knock in the huge wooden door can be heard. Yang, his surname.. Why is someone calling him? "Uhm- Yes?"
"May I come in?"
"Sure?" Jungwon hesitated before replying.
When his reply went through the person who was knocking. The huge door opened, and Jungwon stared at it in awe. The door revealed a man, he looked older than him, He wore a black suit and his hair was neatly styled. He was carrying supper, Jungwon watched the man place the silver trey in the table. The stranger looked at Jungwon and smiled "Your breakfast is ready, Master Jungwon" Jungwon took time to process what this guy just said. When he realized the man called him 'Master' Jungwon became flustered and stood up from the bed "Ma-Master?"
The stranger nervously smiled and looked at Jungwon with pleading eyes, the atmosphere of the servant changed. His demeanor towards Jungwon became cautious and anxious "D-Do you not want to be called Master, Sir Jungwon?" He sounded like Jungwon will kill him for such a trivial mistake. Jungwon found that very odd, however, since this place is just a dream, he should ignore it because none of this is real anyways.
But, he couldn't shake it off his system.
Jungwon slowly shook his head "I was just surprised- I guess?" He explained, reassuring the stranger he wasn't angry.
"Thank you!" Jungwon raised his eyebrows after hearing a thanks. He was a bit flustured because Jungwon never encountered anyone feeling thankful for not being angry. That's a bit weird. Why is this dream so weird?
But judging by the house and the way the stranger spoke, Jungwon is definitely not in his century and he is a high ranking noble for sure. However, it's still a mystery why did it had to be this setting and why does it feel so real?
Perhaps this is the result of watching too much Queen Elizabeth's documentaries. A sign he should tone it down and focus on other things.
After going through a hellish prepping session, he went out of his room with a dazzling suit. Although the outfit was pretty, Jungwon felt hot due to it having 2 layers. When he asked his servant why he had to wear this suit, the servant replied "You have accepted the princess's invitation to attend her tea party, your grace" From that point, Jungwon didn't speak and simply sucked the bitterness out of his bones. Guess he had to wear this shit for the rest of the party. It makes him wanna groan but he can't really complain, cant he?
Even in his dream he didn't have the guts to reject a higher up's proposal. Jungwon is bound to respect and acknowledge someone's position. So, even if he doesn't want to go because of this suit, he will go for the sake of showing respect. He planned to leave after a couple of minutes and hop back to this huge house.
The carriage ride was interesting, he never rode in a carriage before but it definitely left an impression to him. At that point, Jungwon swore he hated carriages. He felt dizzy and nauseous after the ride. Do dreams usually feel like this?
