The general has always been a busy body.
Of course he is! He's the general.
Well, if there's any title to give off.
General Jiyan leads a plantoon- a bulk- Aalto doesn't know- of soldiers.
It's alot of soldiers.
Counting it now, it's... around 150? Yes, 156 people, to be precise.
They call themselves 'Midnight Rangers'. Which is quite a name, if Aalto could say so.
It fits into their theme. They fight dusk to dawn until their limbs give up. They are rangers whose lives end at midnight. An amazing coincidence. The person who thought of their name didn't play around, that's for sure. They branded the soldiers correctly.
A partially good advertisement to those who want to join the military. It's honest, cool, and most of all, the truth.
Jinzhou is forever upfront with their intentions, it is quite intriguing. No play-abouts, no snitching, no tricking. Honesty and full-on dedication. They feed on passion and perhaps that's what sets them off from other nations such as the New Federations.
Aalto was assigned by the higher-ups in Black Shores to keep an eye on the general, for who knows why.
He was just told: "Jinzhou is in a stir. As their sentinel turned its back on them, it's only a matter of time before they fall if we don't act"
He believed it. He doesn't have any reason not to.
But, when Encore and him visited Jinzhou.. Surprise, surprise, the rover is there.
The news about the rover came in a month ago, Aalto isn't incompetent at his job. It's just shocking to know that the rover is in this place and didn't go back to the Black Shores. He doesn't know, maybe say: Hey guys, I'm not dead, would be a good heads up. But maybe the circumstances became different... well basing on what he heard about the sentinel, perhaps that's the situation?
Well, Aalto doesn't put it against him. No. It's just that.. it's odd.
And, the situation became apparent when the rover didn't recognize him.
It brought him to shambles. But ultimately, he went back and grappled his bearing.
The point he should be focusing on, is his amazing leader thinks Jinzhou will fall into a catastrophe. He needs to keep an eye on the general incase this dumbass surges infront and kills himself before he can be useful in the disaster that's about to strike.
Aalto yawns in his spot. He is currently on the top of a mountain, just chilling under the tree with his trusty binoculars while watching the mighty General Jiyan fight a bunch of TDs in the vicinity.
Aalto watches as the tacet discord grew in numbers. He pulled out his terminal and immediately conducted a vibration reading– seeing as how the numbers are up even without a tacet mark.. It was enough for Aalto to stand up, and create mist after mist. He sprinted down– he looked above and saw retroact rain, he widened his eyes, the fog is highly concentrated in the middle.
Aalto can barely see. He plunged through the fog and looked around "General???" His head turning frantically as he stayed vigilant while calling out for Jiyan.
Aalto inhaled a bit of the smoke and coughs "General!!!" He stumbled a bit as he met the stairs– he went up– trying to navigate through the barracks.
Aalto squinted his eyes, he can see a faint of turquoise. He reached out for it and saw the General, surprised as Aalto made him face his way.
"General!" Aalto exclaimed happily.
The fog started dissipating, and finally, their gold eyes met each other.
Jiyan looked at dazed and confused. "Who... are you?"
Aalto gingerly smiled and nervously laughed "Good question. The name is Aalto, never heard?" He cheekily says, letting his sunglasses fall on his bridge, his fake bravado of obnoxiousness didn't seem to hit Jiyan.
Jiyan massaged his own head, presumably trying to overcome the effects of retroact rain that just occurred. "No" He replies with little caution.
"Fair enough"
