"Hyung, do you believe in ghost?"
Soobin stopped his tracks; he turned his head to Hyuka then flicked his forehead. Hyuka whined at the elder's action and rubbed his forehead "Hyung! Why would you do that?" Hyuka complained.
Hyuka earned a snicker from Soobin and a brief lecture about attempting to scare him will definitely not work. Hyuka pouted at the elder, he didn't have any intention of scaring Soobin, he simply wanted to know. He was one curious kid. Aside from that, Hyuka had a story in his mind. It would be better to say it if the other party believes in ghost but guess he would save it for Taehyun later.
The night was still young, normal people would go out and have fun in the middle of the summer yet Soobin was stuck in this compressed practice room with Hyuka for hours. They were practicing the new dance for their next comeback.
When their instructor finally gave them a break, they both decided to go outside the room and walk around the building. Hence Soobin was stuck with Hyuka and his stupid questions, he wasn't that annoying but considering they will be practicing until midnight, Soobin wanted to staple Hyuka's mouth for spitting out random scary questions such as; "Did you see the bloody janitor lady in the 4th floor?" or "The practice room seemed chilly right? I guess that means a lot of people likes to watch us dance"
Soobin wasn't interested in Hyuka's ghost galore, he wanted nothing from it. Just imagining they exist makes Soobin shiver; in other words, he is terrified of them. No one knew that though, he constantly hid under jokes and lectures, he wanted to be viewed as a strong figure for his bandmates. And besides if he shows a slight flinch, Hyuka might tell the others. That could result to never ending teasing from Beomgyu.
They went back to the practice room after, Soobin successfully buried Hyuka's remarks deep in his mind. He focused on improving his dance moves.
"Ok, I think that's it for today guys" Their instructor clapped and gave them a smile "I'ld be going tomorrow for Beomgyu and Taehyun, you can stay if you want" Soobin bowed at his instructor.
The instructor bid them goodbye and left the studio.
Soobin stared himself at the mirror, checking his moves again and again. Hyuka simply sat on the side, eyes closed, sleeping after the heavy training.
It was now pass midnight, Soobin practiced while Hyuka was in his dreamland. Soobin stopped for a second and caught his breath. He grabbed his phone and checked the time.
"12:35" He muttered
He laid on the cold hard surface and open his arms wide. He stared at the white ceiling then yawned. His mind became foggy due to his current state. He was sweaty from top to bottom, his whole body ached in pain after the extreme routines. He closed his eyes and focused on breathing.
The air was peaceful, dead, quiet then suddenly his ears heard something.
Soobin lifted his upper body and darted his gaze to the direction of the sound.
It came from the room before theirs or maybe farther. Soobin crawled closer to the door and listened to the voice.
Someone was singing, a guy was singing.
Not just any song, it was one of their songs.
It sparked Soobin's interest, he followed the voice.
The voice led him to another practice room, 2 rooms away from them. Before opening the door, he stared elsewhere and confirmed if the door is right. He pressed his ear on the door and checked if the voice came out from this room, and it did.
Looking at his left and right, Soobin heaved a sigh and held the doorknob. He slowly turned the knob, afraid of making any noise, and opened the door.
It revealed a blonde man, dressed in plain white t-shirt and gray sweatpants. Soobin's eyes landed on the mirror and saw the stranger's face; His features screamed fierce, it was strong and detailed. His cunning jaw fitted his chiseled nose and plump lips.
Though his clothes were simple, the guy looked very gorgeous. Soobin was stunned. He looked like a celebrity- wait he is also a celebrity- but the point is, the stranger looked like he was in a different level. A senior perhaps? But how come Soobin never saw him before?
The guy noticed his presence, he turned to face Soobin with a surprised expression.
"Wha-what are you doing here?"
"Sorry for intruding, but your voice is really good. Are we from the same company?" Soobin was very curious about this guy. Who wouldn't? He just heard the guy sing beautifully and it would totally suck to know he is just a trainee. With his talent and looks, the guy's totally set to go on stage.
However, Soobin did not receive an answer. Instead of a response, the stranger looked lost, terrified and fazed. Completely panicking, judging from his eyes. But why?
For Soobin, he needed more answer to his questions. He didn't want to pry, but something about him feels different. It makes Soobin want to know the reason why. It's not everyday you stumble upon a talented stranger and- you know- he wants to know why the man looks like he has seen a ghost or Soobin did something wrong.
"Are you okay?"
Soobin can see his chest, rapidly moving yet why is he not hearing any sound? Is that normal?
"Heyy- I'm sorry for uh- asking? Are you okay- do you need help-" Soobin took a step closer but the person step back with horrified eyes "I'm not gonna hurt you"
"Step back" Oh, so he can speak- He did sing but- Nevermind- Soobin's thoughts are in shambles.
"Look ,you are pale as fuck bro" Soobin cautiously took another step forward, he looked up to see the stranger's expression and saw his demeanor changed. From anxious to agitated. Soobin was perplexed at the sudden switch, however he can't really judge this person because he doesn't know him. So maybe he is normally like that?
"Can you just leave?" Now he's being rude
"I'm trying to help???"
"Well you are not helping, get out" The stranger said as he points the door.
Soobin snickered at the stranger's sentence "Okay"
