To see, to foresee. The difference between knowing and believing. In this foresaken world, what should he do if he's forced to be on a road full of thorns and whiffs. Willingly accept and joyfully walk through it? Or stomp his way out of it, bringing along the heaviness in each of his steps?
His eyes that once seen the technologies and advancement humanity had made in centuries- were revolted. As if he was back to the further past yet not.
Kaedehara Kazuha is confused.
"Are you ok, kid?" To be in this spot as he flatter his eyes open.
Out of nowhere, all of the sudden. He's in a place that resembles a country in his home world, China.
With the curved roofs and dragon motifs, the use of red and green in the establishments. It's evident he's away from Japan, yet he can't grasp what or where.
He's still in daze, stuck in his spot- just observing his surroundings like a lost lamb.
How did he teleport all the way to China?
"Oi! Kazuha!" Kazuha snapped out of his thoughts. The grumble came from someone with a deep voice. Facing the source, it revealed a woman, tall and buff- an eyepatch decored her face. She sounds and looks like a seasoned warrior. Examining her stance and muscles, Kazuha can safely assume she is.
But how does she know Kazuha?
"Yes?"
"Anchors away, we'll leave at 16" She gave it as an order. It sounded natural, an everyday occurrence. Does he do this everyday? He wonders. He knows he doesn't yet, why?
"Ok" He probably should figure it out later and do the task as for now.
.
A new land to venture. Why is he here? For what reason was he transported here?
"Captain Beidou" Kazuha has learned several pieces of information during his loitering. One, the woman who called him was called Beidou. Two, everyone on board seems to know him. Three, they are going to a place called Sumeru, Port Otmos?
He still isn't sure where he is nor what is happening.
People called him by the same name, he looked the same- except for his clothes, he sounds the same, nothing in his ownself changed except for the fact he is in a new setting.
"What got you so worked up, little guy?" It made Kazuha snapped out of his thoughts. A teasing tone, Kazuha can't help but feel the guilt creeping up while speaking to her. To think she knows this 'Kazuha' and it is him- a Kazuha who doesn't know her, is talking to her. How gut wrenching.
"Nothing... I was simply reminiscing the old days in which you've taken me onboard this ship" To say it's a lie, it shouldn't be, Kazuha is indeed thinking how she got him onboard.
She laughed at his words, her face relaxed and lips- fondly smiling. Slowly, Kazuha could feel the subsiding pressure rise up to his chest. The guilt is once again acting up.
"What can I say?" Proud expression mixed with happiness "You were lost and wild, kid. Anyone would have taken you in if they saw you like that" She says. Kazuha didn't want to assume, but with her expression, she must have treasured the Kazuha here dearly.
"Not everyone"
Beidou grinned at him and ruffled his hair "Sure, sure, sentimental much? Are we?"
