The whole premise is for Teiichi's consciousness to travel into Shu's body, A CROSSOVER WOOOOO. Ive been planning this for two years, i need to rewatch both shows
.
Perhaps this is what it feels like to die.
In this life full of expectations, with a name that stands too tall for anyone. Maybe Akaba Teiichi wasn't meant for this life. To stand as a prime minister, to be someone who's at the top. To make his own country? A facade made by him to sheer away his fears, his weakness of being himself. Its funny how it all started small then slowly as he made his way up, the clear water turned to murky. He lost himself, he lost his goal. He walked in a path full of uncertainties.
Staring at the sun, Teiichi felt drowsy. More blood, he could taste it and feel it below him.
They said people often speak their regrets while dying, maybe thats why Teiichi chuckled when he saw Dan crying while calling for help.
"It's no use, we are in a deserted road" Dan was crying, he kept repeating the words "Ha-Hang on tight, Teiichi, I'm gonna help- you're gonna be fine-" Teiichi has always seen Dan vulnerable.
A guy never afraid to show who he is, a guy with no ambitions. A person who does what he does just because he wants too. Even though Dan was poor, it never stopped him. He always went with the flow. Careless, tactless, annoying. He was transparent, honest and devoted. The very essence Teiichi lacked, the reason why Dan has always been better. He envied Dan. But now, that Dan is crying because of him. To see someone like him devastated before his death, it showed Dan cared, and Teiichi appreciates it, so he said "Thank you" it was weak and barely audible. Yet it was enough for Dan to mutter an apology again and again.
"It's not your fault"
"I-I shouldn't have let you-I- I-" Seeing Dan on his knees, tearing up as if he won't be able to cry tomorrow. It felt surprisingly warm. "It's really fine, Dan"
It was the higher-ups, Teiichi knew it was them.
Due to his father's revival in the office, they decided to target him instead of his dad. It was the only logical way to make the Akaba bloodline shaken and completely in disarray. They will blame his father, he could see how the future will unfold. However, it doesn't bother him anymore. It's strange how he feels free as everything he worked for burn to ashes. He felt rather relieved as the death bell approached. He should have been angry, yet he feels frail- his mind gave up.
He has tainted the Akaba's by simply dying in this concrete road, it was shameful, yes, but it felt right. If he was still the unhinged, reckless Teiichi last year, he would have commited seppuku to keep his dignity or crawl his way to the hospital. But, the current Teiichi is tired.
To die as Teiichi Akaba, a vice president of the student council, a friend and a lover. It felt fulfilling. It became crystal clear to him now. He was never meant to reach the top.
"No- Fuck- Teiichi you can't die like this" Ah- he never heard Dan curse before, thats new.
With his smug smirk, Teiichi let out a ghastly giggle and rested his hand on his chest "You never cursed" Dan's hand caressed Teiichi's face while he sobbed.
"You know, Dan, I never wanted to be a prime minister" Feeling dryness in his mouth, Teiichi continued his words "I wanted to play piano"
"Pi-Piano?"
Teiichi started feeling drowsy, delirious. As he felt blood oozing out of his system, he winced and pant heavily, but still trying to keep conversing with Dan "Yeah, piano" he managed to say.
".
Teiichi finally closed his eyes and fell into eternal slumber.
