ITWT Chapter 8: Scrapped BAM

+I NEED MORE ROMANCE IN THIS HOLD UP OKAY, how many chapter 8's did i do? IDK

It was never Jongseong's forte to shoot arrows. But what do you know? The academy signs everyone who doesn't take swordsmanship to archery class.

8th in his line, Jay watched as everyone tries to shoot the target. Most of them failed, but of course, Shim Jaeyun had to show off his skills and hit the target with little no effort. Jay scoffed after witnessing the scene.

It's a mystery why Shim Jaeyun is in this class, he's a knight for fuck's sake. Why be here if he could be clashing swords with god knows who?

But then, considering that bastard could be smart, he might just went here to keep an eye on Jay. He really doesn't make things easier for Jay, don't he?

Grabbing a bow and an arrow, Jay went to the platform. He posed into an open stance, he nocked the arrow, and brought the bow up. Feeling the tension between his fingertips, Jay breathe out and then closed one of his eyes.

When he released the arrow, it landed near the target. Not bad.

He received claps from left to right. Jay felt a bit proud he did that. He never had a chance to hold a bow and arrow before due to his weak state. It feels nice to achieve something every now and then. Perhaps this is the fruit of constantly failing in life, it grants you something to look forward living the next day. A pity gift from the heavens, Jay appreciates it. At least they are giving him a sign not to give up.

After the class, Jay kept shooting arrows because he never landed on the target, it wounded a bit of his ego. But he decided to let it go, considering, he didn't go here for little things like these. He just needs to wait for Sunghoon's signal and then he'll start planning once he gets some memories Jake spoke of.

Jay stepped out of the platform. He was on his way to change, but a hand caught his shoulder. The touch was familiar but Jay didn't figure out who was it until he turned around.

"Jake?" It's been days since he actually cared about what Jake has been doing. Not that he was doing anything different, it's quite irritating to be honest. But, all of that aside, why is he doing this now?

Jake didn't speak, his gaze was soft. He looked like he's worried.

The affection Jay keeps receiving from Jake. Is he here to spout nonsense again?

Jake grabbed his hand and inspected it as if it's something to be worried about.

Jay never had such interaction with Jake before. So when Jake touched his palm, it strangely felt warm.

Realizing the ridiculousness of his thoughts, Jay pulled his hand out of Jake's grasp.

"You were hurt" His tone was mellow, his eyes still focused on Jay's hand.

Jay checked his palm, he saw bruises and cuts. He brought it down. He didn't feel it up until now, he grew numb at feeling pain after dying.

Jay doesn't know why Jake cares about him, but goddamn he'll never get used to it. Jake killed him with his own hands for fuck's sake.

"Don't act like this" When they met eyes, Jay didn't filter out his distaste at Jake's action "It doesn't suit you"

Jay turned his heel to the opposite side, he no longer wants to converse with Jake. Nothing good comes out of it, if anything, Jake just adds up to the mystery on hand. Jay highly suspects Jake to have something to do with this. Once he confirms it, that would shift the tide entirely- whether Jake is an enemy or a foe. If Jay can use him for his plan, he'll just do so. Jake already has a dumb fixation about saving the world to begin with, no need to get chummy with him, as long as it's for the benefit of others, Jay is sure Jake will help.

Being isekai'd in a world Sunoo loves so much was a dream come true. Though he's scared to know what will happen to him in his world, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see how the fantasy world works.

But, yeah, he did mess up alot.

It's inevitable anyways, but, he may have fucked up big time and he's just realizing it after Nishimura's week long stalking.

Sunoo thought the guy will give up after a week or two, but boy was he wrong.

Anyways, Sunoo just lets Niki observe him.

But it's starting to get worst than Sunoo anticipated. Which is why, Sunoo plans to confront Niki today, he doesn't know if he can take more of Niki's intense gaze behind a column while he's talking to anyone- Just thinking of it makes Sunoo shudder. Niki hears, knows and sees everything. It's starting to make Sunoo feel unsafe in his bathroom.

Making his way to the most deserted place in the academy (aka the forest) Sunoo waited until he heard Niki's bush rustling and used his wind affinity to reveal Niki.

Not that Sunoo doesn't know the expense of revealing the fact he knew Niki was following him, he knows the knight will continue to suspect him. He'll keep wasting time because it's Niki's attribute to finish everything he does. Niki won't rest until he finds a solid proof of Sunoo's connection with Jongseong or Sunoo's innocence. Sunoo already tried proving his innocence but yeah.. Niki will keep chasing his own tail because Sunoo will keep interacting with Jay, it's only normal to suspect Sunoo this much.

In simple words, the stalking won't end even if Sunoo doesn't talk to Niki, he will keep finding ways to associate him with Jay.

Ending it like this might be the only way to stop it.

Gosh, Sunoo pledged an oath in his mind to never interact with the front characters. Now look at him, everything seems like a joke now.
