ArisuxC (Perhaps, this is love (Arisu's view)

Arisu isn't the type of guy who falls in-love easily. If anything, he wasn't really interested. He was a virgin, yes, a shut-in, a loser. He wasn't very appealing to any women back in the modern world. He never experienced affection from another person because he wasn't really given a chance to express it.

It was then he realized he's been craving for love when he met Usagi. It was a shock to say the least.

In an apocalyptic world where everyone disappeared out of thin air and people are forced to join in death games, Arisu's heart blossomed upon spending time with Usagi. Or perhaps this is the literal shock reaction, a cover up to try and replace the sadness he had from his friends' recent passing. He suspected he needed another person to treasure to be sane.

But what does he know?

As long as his heart is beating fast and loud like how they describe it in a shoujo manga, Arisu would call it love.

Arisu wasn't sure if Usagi felt the same. He could barely see it either since she wasn't too expressive with everything. So whether she reciprocated Arisu's feelings or not, Arisu couldn't guess.

When they arrived at the beach, Arisu became more protective of Usagi due to bastards like Niragi.

However, he wasn't the only person Arisu met. If shitty guys like Niragi exist in this world, to balance everything Chishiya Shuntaro also does. A cunning guy full of plans and to top it all up, he's very handsome. Arisu puts his hands down to that.

Arisu found Chishiya difficult. He was a walking puzzle, there's an aspect of him that Arisu couldn't get.

This is their second time meeting each other. They never properly introduced themselves the first time but Arisu was familiar with him.

His magnetizing gaze interests Arisu. He isn't sure what looms inside Chishiya's mind but everytime Arisu thinks he has him figured out, he finds a way to show Arisu never will. Which made Arisu naturally fall into Chishiya's orbit.

Arisu wants to know more about him. He's curious about him, he kept thinking about him non-stop. As if he was bewitched, Chishiya invaded his thoughts without notice.

And as soon as he woke up one afternoon, Arisu came to a realization, he's fucked.

Not only he dreamt about Chishiya, but he also fancied kissing him. It sent heat on Arisu's cheeks- It's unbelievable. How could he possibly take a liking to a guy he barely knew? It felt ridiculous.

Arisu stared at the ceiling for a good amount of time. The air has hit him like he had a post-nut clarity. It wasn't the best feeling. He seriously wants to dig a hole and never get out.

To like a person, to like Chishiya Shuntaro. It's different from liking Usagi. While he was tame and careful with Usagi, the feeling he has for Chishiya is much more intense. It feels embarrassing to admit even in his thoughts.

It's definitely the first time Arisu felt this.

All this time he thought he fell inlove with Usagi, turns out he never really knew the feeling of falling inlove until he met this (even more unexpressive) guy.

The thought of being close to him, talk to him- he's excited in every little thing involving Chishiya, it's outrageous. He can't stop himself either, Chishiya gains too much attention in Arisu's eyes. It felt impossible to stop himself from observing.

Arisu kept it a secret, of course.

Rejection is scary, he knew right off the bat Chishiya wouldn't think about establishing a deeper relationship with him. To support that claim, he looks at Arisu with little emotion. As if Arisu is just an object he can dispose. Besides, there's nothing good about Arisu. He's aware he is nothing but a small fry in Chishiya's eyes.

Liking Chishiya in the distance was enough.

Not until Chishiya approached him with a plan.

It was a simple yet dangerous plan.

Arisu isn't confident with the whole thing. Setting his affection aside, the plan is too hasty, it sounded desperate. But, in their state, who wouldn't be?

So Arisu agreed even though Usagi was highly opposed to it.

And, he should have trusted Usagi.

Arisu was at loss but he expected it nonetheless. Chishiya doesn't plan with no gain. In the little amount of time they've spent together, Arisu had seen this trait of Chishiya, multiple times.

Regret, it always comes last.

Anyways, Arisu got wrecked, he couldn't feel his limbs anymore. It sucked that his crush made him trip all the way to hell for some reason.

But, that's not what's important right now. He needs to figure out how to escape because his nose detected smoke. That's never a good sign.

Good thing Usagi got his back.

They finished the hearts game and watched the beach burn into ashes.

What now?

Arisu found a phone, it was a weird occurrence considering electricity shouldn't be working in this land yet here's a phone that fell from Momoka's pocket. Arisu, along with Usagi, watched videos and saw it. A place full of monitors, roars. They decided to go in that place, and it could lead to the answers he sought for.

"You're here! As expected from someone I have high hopes with" Chishiya was also here. He sounded like he was greeting an old friend. He changed his outfit into a comfy one. His visuals still deeply affects Arisu- it's unfair really.

Although Chishiya unknowingly makes Arisu flustered, he can't shake off the fact Chishiya betrayed him. It sat there for a while. But again, in this unpredictable world they live in, do they still have the luxury to pick who can they trust?

They agreed to team up, they had no other choice since it would be troublesome to be each other's enemy. It would be for Arisu and Usagi so, here they are, back in Shibuya square, together.

"What the fuck" was all he can say after an hour in Shibuya Square.

Now, he found himself running and dragging Chishiya to safety.

To monologue the thought process of why he panickily dragged Chishiya away, it's something Arisu couldn't explain. Usagi was closer yet he gripped Chishiya's wrist as if it's a reflex action.

When he thought he loves Chishiya, he didn't know he has fallen this deep.

After securing their safety, Chishiya wasn't too shy when he asked the questions. Arisu lied alot, he couldn't help it. If he said the truth he doesn't know if he can handle the consequences.

He kept swallowing his confession and simply tried his best to make it seem like a casual reaction. Chishiya wasn't making the situation any better though. He keeps staring at Arisu intently, which made Arisu plaster his feet on the ground. It was very tough considering Arisu isn't professional at lying. He barely survived Chishiya's interrogation.

"I won't go easy on you, if that's what you think"

Now, infront of Teio Prison, Arisu stared at Chishiya, bewildered after hearing his plan.

Arisu wasn't worried about that at all.

If both of them died, what would happen next? What if the game is based on luck? on strength? stamina? endurance? How would Chishiya survive from that?

It's a prison, what if this is more of a spades game than a hearts game?

It felt nerve-wracking to go in, but as anyone would have guessed it, Chishiya Shuntaro just dived in.
