Arisu (PTiL) Part 2

Arisu was never keen on people, he never truly cared about their existence unless he got involved with them. If they slander him, bully him and send him to the guidance office for getting pinned on doing something he didn't do. That's when Arisu truly acknowledges their existence.

The unknown assholes who loved teasing him to death.

Arisu hates them.

But he doesn't have the courage to face them.

He still went to school regardless, he wanted to keep his record.

Whether they dump the whole trash can on him while eating his lunch inside a bathroom stall or push him off the hallways, Arisu lets it happen.

Karube and Chota were never involved. Arisu made it that way. He keeps it to himself. He doesn't want to trouble them that much. It's a good thing they are all in different classes and different years, so it wasn't hard to hide what he has been going through.

"What's that smell?" Whether it was noticed or not, Arisu isn't sure. It was always Chota who would question it but of course, Arisu would deflect it by saying stupid shits

"It's probably Karube's fart"

When they got out of high school, Arisu thought life would be better. But it didn't.

Now, he stared at his ceiling fan with his failed mechanical engineering dreams and a dead mother. He has been holed up in his room, being depressed, with nothing to look forward in his life.

Karube and Chota were living progressively. But, Arisu is stuck. He doesn't know what he is doing wrong.

Then everyone disappeared

There wasn't a single person in the area, which is already weird because Shibuya has been always occupied by people. It doesn't matter what time it is, people will keep flowing in and out Shibuya. And seeing it with no one, it felt incredibly... scary.

He's accompanied by Chota and Karube, which is reassuring. But apart from that, Arisu kept wondering, what is this place?

After a game, Arisu came to understand how this new world works, a little bit. But after his second game? He began to spiral himself into something deeper.

Chishiya Shuntaro.

He didn't know his name at the beginning, but he played a huge role in this game.

Smart, calculating and meticulous. A bit mischievous and highly interesting. That's the first impression he got from Chishiya.

The man always had his hood up, but Arisu has seen him with his hood down numerous times. He could be funny in near-death instances. Apart from that Arisu doesn't really know much about him.

When Chota and Karube died, Arisu thought he might as well die too.

Usagi rescued him, and Arisu thanks her for that.

They went to search for the beach, thinking they might know some information about the cards.

They were right, the people at the beach did reveal some stuff.

Most importantly, he saw him again. The mysterious grey hooded man in his second game. But this time, Arisu finally knows his name.

Chishiya Shuntaro

With his wide smile and condescending words, his offers that were too risky and impossible. It made Arisu wonder, what kind of person is Chishiya Shuntaro?
