He feels like a joke.
Jay wasn't in mood to do any shit after Jake dropped the bomb that he's supposed to know everything about the paradox that's happening.
Or maybe, it's Jake's absurd pitiful voice that made him lose a nerve but overall this situation is pretty annoying, right?
To ask a question and reveal he's been chasing his own tail the whole time, goddamn, just what is this?
Jay feels like losing his mind every damn second.
"You are the only person who could answer everything, Jay"
Perhaps, this is hell and this is his punishment.
Running his fingers into his scalp, Jay took a deep breath and then closed his eyes momentarily.
He doesn't get him, no- the right statement is: How is he gonna get him? It's entirely impossible if he keeps making Jay walk into this without any light or guidance.
Jake is expecting him to somehow get through it himself but how could he? He doesn't have magic, he doesn't have anything, and it's frustrating to go over again and again- he doesn't know what to do! Jay is stuck. He's in the middle of the ocean, slowly sinking because Jaeyun isn't feeling enough to enlighten him with what ever he did.
"Shim fucking Jaeyun" a low grating voice echoed through Jay's room, feeling rage taking over, Jay started breaking every glass in his room. Every mirror was punched, Jars shattered into pieces, and decoration getting swept up in random places. The whole room looked disoriented. And if Jay could blame someone, his servants can thank Jaeyun for all of that.
.
A riddle, if Jake didn't mean it, literally perhaps he hid the true meaning behind his words. However, how can Jay crack it open when there's nothing to open in the first place?
All of Jake's words were nothing new, from the apology to asking Jay if he remembers, if he knows.
What should Jay know?
Goddamn it, is it so hard to be straightforward?
Jay tried calming down, but even his voice in his thoughts kept shouting and screaming because of that devil in disguise, Shim Jaeyun.
He's rightfully angry, he gave Jaeyun alot of chances to explain but all he got were cryptic fuckery to mess with his already jumbled mind.
Jay is convinced Jake is a devil sent by the Gods to toy with him, the expense of annihilating half of the population during his last life. The price he has to pay after all the sins he had done. How gruesome yet fitting.
To kill him with many questions unanswered, truly, karma did its work.
But of course, Jay would never let it off hook.
Did Jake think he's satisfied with what he gave last night? Hell no he wasn't. So, instead of hesitating like the last time, Jay went all in and went straight to Jake.
"Jake, we need to talk" he no longer wants to waste time.
Jake could pretend he is busy with the arrows but to think he could fool Jongseong with that?
"You already mastered archery, what else are you trying to do?" Jake didn't answer.
He's playing deaf. Jake Shim, the most serious guy Jay has ever known, is actually pretending he's not hearing him. This is comedy.
"Are you seriously doing this? What are you, a kid?" Still no response
"Yah!" The arrow Jake had in his fingertips flew out of his bow, he lowered his bow then moved from his stance.
