Ive lost direction of what I want to see in this fic. I believe I'll put it on hiatus till I finally read some isekai stuff. Coz bruh, the site I've been using is blocked in this place. Kinda sad, but anyways. I'm not hyped to write any Isekai stuff atm.
So, I think I'll just focus on what makes me giddy and shit. I'll probably something about uhhhhhhh treasure soon, coz I'm more invested on that these days and doki-doki.
Anywho, here's what I got for the latest chapter, it's not final yet coz Idk if I'll go this route- but let's see:
.
Jay doesn't know what to do anymore. With his constant dreams along with Jake's annoying reason on why he's doing this, it's honestly stressing him out. It's too much- everything seems to be on his plate recently. He did try handling everything one by one but nothing goes in his way.
Now he knows Jungwon is another person who got reincarnated. Jungwon seems recall the actions they did in their past life. Jay shutted him off anyways, Jungwon should just stay in the sidelines where it's safe. Jay seems to have a change of heart after Jake's recent actions. Jake has been provoking him recently. Whether Jay will rebel or not, he's sure about one thing, he'll do it without Jungwon by his side.
Another topic on hand, Kim Sunoo.
Goddamn, Shim Jaeyun, that man is something else. He scared the fuck out of Sunoo. With nothing in his hands, what does Shim Jaeyun expect Jay to do?
God, Jay wishes he knows.
Jay left his room, he went on with his schedule. It's archery class, he knows it's a waste of time to attend class, he did it anyways. It's not like he got anything better to do.
The teacher taught the basics, they demonstrated how to launch an arrow to the target.
As they move the arrow backwards, the strings naturally ached, the teacher kept their fingers on the strings, they aimed it with their one eye closed and lets go of the arrow.
It landed near the bullseye.
Pathetic.
Everyone clapped anyways. Jay hesitantly followed their claps.
After that, the teacher made them line up and try. Jay watched most of the students fail.
When it was Jake's turn, of course he landed a bullseye. Jay scoffed, he can't believe a guy like Jake would be this competitive when it comes to beating kids.
Jake irritated Jay, when did he ever not?
It's finally his turn, since Jay was last in the line he could take his time and show off. Jay grabbed the bow and felt it's texture in his fingertips. He carefully grabbed an arrow and placed it in-between his fingers. He pushed the strings backwards along with his arrow and closed one of his eyes.
Though Jay wasn't good at swords and magic, there's one thing he's good at.
It's shooting an arrow.
Everyone was stunned when his arrow split Jake's arrow into half.
That felt fulfilling even though it's a little thing.
When he faced Jake, there wasn't a glint of shock in his eyes. He knew, now it made everything taste sour.
He kept his gaze on Jake, not breaking the eye contact as he grabs another arrow. He hits the target again, destroying the arrow he shot earlier. And another one, and again, and again, perhaps he's been frustrated at Jake for so long, this is his only chance to let it all out. Because honestly, his monologues aren't enough anymore, if he keeps this to himself he might turn insane.
Not caring about his surroundings anymore, he imagined that target is Jake's head. He kept hitting it nonstop, he heard his teacher ordering to stop but he didn't. It's not like they can interfere anyways. So he did it, again and again, until he felt a hand stopping his wrist from getting another arrow.
"You're hurting yourself" Out of all people.
"Leave me alone" almost letting out a grunt, Jay looked up and saw Jake's worried eyes- it felt sincere which ignited more of Jay's hatred towards the man. His sincerity felt insulting.
Jay doesn't need pity, especially from Jake.
"Jay, stop"
Feeling Jake's grip get tighter, Jay retreats his hand and rubs his wrist "What the fuck is your deal?"
"You're hurting yourself-" His voice raspy, desperately trying to negotiate.
"So what? Why do you care?" Jay cuts him off, he meant to offend Jake, he has no rights to ask that question when it's his fucking fault Jay is here in the first place.
Jay took advantage of their short distance "If you think you need to care for me, save it" he grumbled.
Jay left the shooting grounds right after then walked to the infirmary. He knew he needed to treat his hand, his body is still weak afterall. It's never a good idea to exert too much force and energy with this body.
When he reached the door, a hand grabbed his un-injured wrist, dragging him all the way inside.
Seeing the hand owner's back frame, it didn't take long to recognize him.
"Jake, what the fuck are you doing?" Jay protests as Jake forces him to sit in an available stool.
Jake kept quiet, he left Jay on a stool and started searching the cabinet for ointments and bandages. When he got what he needed, he pulled up a seat to face Jay.
Jay was gonna stand up and leave, but Jake grabbed his arm and weighted him down.
"Shim Jaeyun! Can you fucking stop doing this?" Jay was frustrated. He just wanted to get away from Shim Jaeyun.
Fuck his agenda, fuck his intentions- Jay just wants to leave. He doesn't care anymore. It feels draining to be in this mental state, Jay never once stopped thinking-he keeps going and going. Speculation after speculation, it's just too much- he died already, it should have stayed that way yet here he is.
"Stay still" Jake finally spoke but it wasn't the response Jay wanted.
Jay scoffed, the fucker just ignored him. He can't believe Jake is treating him like a speck of dust. Jake was supposed to be scared, angry and vengeful yet he's speaking softly infront of him. Jay doesn't know what the hell he wants "No"
Jake gives him a piercing gaze as he states "We both know how frail you are, a bruise like this will affect your system if you keep being stubborn"
"I don't need your help" He snaps, yanking his wrist from Jake's grasp
