Ehhhh idk i dont rlly like how this one goes

"You're the only person who could answer everything"

Fuck, Jake Shim always makes everything complicated.

What does he even fucking mean by that?

Jay couldn't help but grit his teeth as Jake leaves the goddamn room. He couldn't do bat shit. It's not like it's gonna help anyone at this point.

As he sees Jake's back vanish from the hallway, Jay slammed the door.

.

"We were never like this, do you remember?"

Jake's words have its way to crawl out of Jay's mind every single second. It kept haunting Jay, because, at the end of the day, none of this will get resolved unless Jake says something less cryptic and more blunt. At least give Jay something to work with on.

But given that Jake barged into his room on his birthday to give him a hint, perhaps it's Jake's way of telling him to look more into this?

If Jay could analyze Jake's words at that time, only one thing comes up in Jay's hazy mind, it has something to do with memories.

Whenever he talks with Jake, the gap is obvious, something is missing in between. They aren't on the same page, rather, they've always been looking at different angles while standing in the same frame.

"Maybe you've been a victim of village raids, you know- you got adopted and then got your memories erased" Was said light-heartedly by none other than Park Sunghoon.

Turns out, opening up about missing memories is not great to share with Park Sunghoon. Jay has been very unclear with his situation, simply stating "I've been feeling like I lost something in the past, however, I don't remember it" then it started escalating from one thing to another until Sunghoon just joked about him being unrelated to his own family.

But, at least he contributed something with that terrible joke of his.

Got his memory erased, huh.

"Do you know someone who specializes in sealing memories?" this question feels familiar rolling out his tongue. It's not that he wasn't aware of this magic, he was the arch mage for fucks sake. But somehow, he was sure he never had to do it before since it was done by people working under the king's shadows. Jay knows enough about that kind of magic, however, he never went deeper than he knows. Being an arch mage requires him to protect the kingdom, skills such as mind-wiping is not needed. So that question shouldn't have felt familiar but instead foreign.

"Maybe" A whimsical tone Jongseong hates "What for?" If it isn't obvious enough, Park Sunghoon still questioned him

"To remember what it was"

"What if it's just a misplaced pen? Would that be worthy of his effort?"

"I assure you, it's not" Sunghoon released a grave sigh, Park Jongseong sure is a character he chose to deal with

"Lee Heeseung"

When did Sunghoon become easy? Well, the answer is never, Sunghoon just gained another bargaining chip incase shit happens. His position isn't the safest spot as it seems, if anything it's quite the opposite since everyone is trying to kill him off to make their son the next king of this land.

He will definitely need Jongseong in the future, so to help him while they are still young, is the best opportunity handed to him. A blooming friendship, connections to keep standing in his current one. Sunghoon is determined to do whatever it takes to get Jongseong by his side even if it means exposing one of the greatest royal secret, Lee Heeseung.

.

The dreams stopped when Jake sputtered bullshit on his birthday. Jay wondered why but no one is there to answer. As if it vanished, just doesn't exists. He knew those memories were important, to know whether they are fully his or Siwon's it is hard to determine.

But now that he finally has something in his hand, perhaps he
