Sunghoon wasn't exactly expecting anything when he died... yeah, he didn't, he expected he'll be in a black void or hell, if possible, heaven.

When he felt a gizz take over his body, the electric feeling traveling through his nerves. Death was very painful, he felt his whole body shut down, each organ die, slowly and surely. Well dying from cancer wasn't surprising so, Sunghoon just gulped the whole fact he wasn't meant to have a painless death. It was peaceful though, so that's one thing to be happy about. Sunghoon is a weird optimist, probably from being in the hospital for so long, he needed to look for something to stay positive his whole life. Kinda sad, but who cares, right? He already died.

Anywho, back to dying, he was sure he died. He closed his eyes and let out his final breath. But then... he only felt the hollowness for a few seconds, after that, being alive and dying is pretty much the same. Because Sunghoon could feel himself breathing from his nose.

Do dead people need to breathe from their noses? He doesn't know, it's his first time dying.

Weirdly enough, he could feel heaviness in his head. It hurts, a major headache as if he has a fever. Seriously, why does he feel this way? Isn't dying supposed to be- He doesn't know, painless?

Wow, turns out those conspiracy theories are bullshit after all.

He feels alive even though he's 6 feet underground, and probably has caterpillars in his skull and shit. Guess you can't really believe anyone, huh. Or maybe his parents cremated him, maybe that's why he feels hot, no really he does, a raging fever, that's what it feels like.

Sunghoon started moving, squirming from a heavy, soft piece of cloth covering his body, aka duvet. The question is, why does he feel like it's above his body? Why does he feel the weight of the duvet? What the hell is going on and why is his sense of touch working? Is that supposed to happen?

Weird.

Since he was curious, he opened his eyes. Easy as that.

What's not easy is, to process what he's seeing.

Seeing the fancy wallpaper, the big ass window on his right, the carefully sculpted pillars around his room, and the expensive-looking furniture. Sunghoon was convinced this is heaven.

Guess his pranking days didn't do anything bad.

It's still interesting to know heaven works the same way as the... Mortal world? Wow, now he's above here he isn't sure what to call Earth.

Well, he still feels human, it's just that, he already died. So, is he classified as a soul or what? That's one thing to debate about. He should probably find someone to ask.

Strangely enough, he didn't know souls can still have fever despite being a transparent blob that shouldn't be affected by viruses or bacteria cause there's no way to get them when everything passes through you, literally. They don't even have organs, so, it's definitely suspicious to feel this way.

But then, what does he even know about the other side? Sunghoon just died.

So... yeah, what's the point of thinking of anything when you no longer exist in the living realm? There's no point, because what should he think about exactly? There's no goal, no end game in here, nothing here makes sense. At the end of the day, when people die, they return to their original form which is nothing, he's just nothing.

Now that he thinks about it, Sunghoon wondered how's his family back there. Were they devastated when they heard the news? or relieved, they no longer have a burden on their shoulders?

There's no use of thinking what happened after, it's not like he'll get answers eventually. They would probably make him forget about everything so the only thing he could do is

Right, his senses. They are back, which shouldn't be the case if he's dead.

Waking up in a very elegant room is one thing, but to walk around this amazing hallway while feeling pain in his legs? Goddamn.

It's empty though, which makes sense since the other side probably doesn't have specks of dust around. How convenient, would have been amazing if they added that feature in the human world.
