14 | Secret revealed.

Selena stands up from her chair with a huge smile while my head tries to go through her words, especially the last word. I don't know whether I heard her saying his name or—

"Liam." I get the reality check that indeed she said his name as she repeats it again. I find myself standing up too but due to my sudden movement, my shoes get stuck on the leg chair. I nearly slip but a hand on my waist steadies me. When my heart calms a bit, I suddenly become aware of a touch that lingers on my waist. It isn't that I didn't know about it before but the touch...it seems familiar. I quickly turn and find myself face to face with none other than the person who has been the talk of the hour between me and Selena.

"You okay?" I hear Selena asking behind me but all I can do is gawk at the person who is looking at me with...an eye roll. My eyes seem like it's doing a trick on me as I appraise Liam. He is standing right in front of me with a bored expression and I find myself freezing at the spot.

"You know you really should work on your backward walking not every time I am going to be there to save your ass." He says, I think...I don't know as I am still trying to process his presence here. I see Selena coming at us and she looks at Liam with a scolding look before she touches me.

"You okay right?" She asks again but I don't say anything, my gaze fixes on Liam.

"And you don't be like that. You startled her, that's why she almost fell." She tells him. Liam scoffs, his eyes not leaving mine.

"She does get startled easily by me." He says and all the time that he did surprise me flashes in my mind. Some holding memories and some...

"Are you going to just stand there and keep on looking or say something?" Liam scowls and when I don't say anything he raises an eyebrow. I don't know what happened to me but I feel like I am too numb to do anything right now. Is Liam really here...standing in front of me that too in presence of Selena?

"Let her process you jerk, she must be shocked with all the information and now you are here in person." Selena says.

"It's not like she never saw me. It's not even twenty four hours since she last saw me, right?" He asks me and I don't know if it was the question or the look on his face that makes me blink.

"What are you doing here?" I find my voice but it doesn't sound strong.

"Finally you talk. I thought you were starstruck just seeing me like—"

"Shut up." Selena hits his stomach lightly and I eye the movement while my brain takes me almost three month back when he said something similar in my apartment. That time he shocked me by showing up at my doorstep and today is not different either except the situation and scenario.

"How about we sit?" Selena gestures but my eyes remain fixated to Liam who is also watching me. Is he really here?

Before anybody can say something or I process what is happening, a different yet similar voice joins us.

"Hey you guys, you are already here. I have ordered our fo—" Amy says and then stops eyeing me. She has not yet seen Liam due to his back facing her and she raises an eyebrow towards his back as if to ask who is he? Well to be honest, I do want to know who he is and what he is doing here?

"What's going on here? Who is he—" her words fall short when Liam turns around, her reaction was similar to mine which changes quickly to anger.

"YOU? What the fuck are you doing here?" she yells and takes a step towards him but Selena blocks them. I don't think so Amy notices as she continues to shout angrily at him.

"How dare you show up here, around her you bastard? I told you to stay away from her...I will kill you seriously. You have manage to done enough if I—"
