"There you go." Drake puts a steaming mug of coffee on the table and sits opposite me.
"I should be the one offering you service as you're in my place." I tell him.
"Yes you should but I am not your guest."
"I know but friends don't wait for a thank you when they do something for other friend." I tease. He was making coffee but he didn't stop one bit on how I should be thanking him as he never wake up this early for anyone not even for himself to make something in kitchen.
"This friend do because he likes attention." He smirks.
"Thank you." I smile. A silence hung after that and I watch him taking out his phone as soon as I heard slamming of door. I am guessing Amy must have left. I look at clock and still there is one hour left till college start. Where does she go this early? After the big revelation about them, Amy went to her room and Drake marched in kitchen. I was confused as to where I should go first but when I found Amy has locked her door, I came to him.
"Now we can talk." I speak breaking the silence.
"Talk about what?" he asks confusedly.
"Talk about how much you boiled the coffee." I deadpanned. "Of course about what just happened."
"Nothing has happened." He says his eyes still glued on the phone screen.
"Funny how Amy said the same thing an hour ago and then you proved her wrong. Do you want me to do what you did with her?" I raise my eyebrow but he ignores me. Gritting my teeth, I bend down and snatch his phone, pocketing it.
"Anna." He warns but he seems tired.
"I know you're only using the phone to distract me from the topic but I am not letting it go so if you want the phone then start talking mister." I order.
"There's nothing to talk."
"Well I have things to talk. I will go. So...you and Amy huh?" I fold my hands and put it on the table. He eyes me and when I don't budge. He let out a long sigh.
"There is no her and me okay? It just happened one time." He clarifies.
"If it happened one time then why it was important for you that she told me about it?" I ask.
"Because she was being too hard on you."
"Yeah well she has every right to be."
"She has but she was acting as if she is innocent that she doesn't hide things. I didn't like it so I made her tell you." He shrugs.
"You didn't like what? The fact that she didn't tell me or the fact that she doesn't talk about it like you want her too." I quirk my eyebrow and he looks at me baffled.
"What rubbish are you talking?" he says a bit too hastily.
"I am not talking rubbish. I am just guessing." I shrug.
"Well then your guess is not at the right point. I don't want her to talk about it in fact I don't even think about that too. I don't. I am just mad at her because it was both of our faults and even if this happened like a year ago. She is still acting as if we did something horrendous. The way she treats me I hate it...as if I am some sort of a plaque." He says a slight anger in his tone.
"Well you both did make a mistake and unlike her you owned to it but do you both ever sit quietly as in without a fight and just talk. I mean clearly it does mean a lot to you." The moment I finish my sentence. He snaps at me.
"It doesn't mean anything to me. I don't care about that stupid night." He bangs his hand on the table and I sit stunned, gawking at his face.
"If you don't care then why the long face?" I say and bend a little, stroking his imaginary long face. He eyes my hand, his eyes crossing over to his nose. I can't help and let out a chuckle at his expression. He too breaks from his angry mask when I mimic his anger by banging my hand on table like he did. He chuckles and sees my face with a smile.
