"God, seriously she did that?"

I nod as I make bills for the online orders. After the little meeting Selena organized in our apartment where she told us about her past, I had to leave for my job. Today I decided to come early so now it's mostly my closing time.

"I literally can't believe Selena did all that. I mean yeah I don't know her as much as you guys but still the little I know her, she seems so...mature and smart. When you told me about her being that girl who—who shall not be named—is with, I just thought it was all definitely his fault in past and he is just blaming it on her but damn...he was innocent." Drake says and I quirk my eyebrow at him.

"Harry potter reference?"

"That's the only thing you caught?" he rolls his eyes. I give him a duh look.

"I started watching the movies as you said...well you said about the books but seriously I can't even read my course book so reading a novel is so out of syllabus." He explains. My hands stop on the keyboard as I look at him in shock.

"You start watching harry potter because of me?" I gape and he nods.

"Drake this is so sweet...I just told you one time and you without any further persuasion started it." I feel so touched whenever someone do something without giving any attitude or act condescending if I suggest them something.

"One time?" he scoffs. "You pestered me that whole day when I told you I didn't watch harry potter not to mention your text that was filled with reference that I had no idea what they means. But yeah now I do."

"Hey! I was just helping you to be a cool person." I pout and wish to be this easier to persuade someone or the person to be less difficult. As I think my mind wanders off to Liam whom I have said countless times about things which happens to be bad but he never once stopped or at least concern my words.

"So is it true then they are dating?" Drake breaks my train of thought and I bite my lips before typing again.

"Yeah." I staple the bills on the packed food bags and signal Jake to take them. A new startup company is opened few blocks down and they give us order for their daily dinner.

"It's just doesn't make any sense." He sighs and runs his finger on the rim of his coffee mug which is half empty.

"What?"

"Them. I mean how...not a few days ago I saw him looking like an unstable person chasing you down to your apartment to convince you and yesterday what you told me what he said and then outside the café that day. After that entire headache he gave you...gave him some, put him out there only to be with Selena?" he says, a frown on his face. My own face pulls downwards as I watch him.

"Are you...or am I sensing you taking Liam's side? Talking on behalf of his side actually."

"No, I am not...it's just I don't know how to explain you this but like you girls know what other girl is thinking or want. Right? We guys do in some aspect can tell about other man. Before all this with you and him, I was certain he was an asshole, an incarnation of Lucifer. But then when you were with him, he...was different. A person words or actions might confuse at some point but the way he looked at you and the way..."

"Drake, where are you trying to go with this all?" I cut him off with my sharp tone. Hearing his words create a pain in my chest. He notices my facial expression and checks himself.
