94 | Too late.

"Is this why you're out from the party?" Amy says as she watches with her mouth ajar. I stay buried on pillow but still can hear the noises coming out from the phone.

"When did this even happen? Like not once I heard anybody talking there." Selena says. I look over to Julia who is watching her phone before her eyes aim at me with concern.

"Having it happened with me was already bad and now I've a constant reminder which not me but whole world is watching." I murmur.

My scream echoes in my room and I cringe. The Halloween Scream fest prank that happened with me yesterday is out everywhere on internet for the whole world to see. It was Amy who first received the link by her college group and recognized me immediately. She came running to show me, confused whether it's me or her eyes are deceiving.

Seeing it myself with my own eyes shocked me that they put it online but deep down I knew it would happen when I saw the guy recording us. I told my friend what happened yesterday and how I became the target.

"Atleast nobody knows you right?" Selena tries to give me sympathy and I shrug my shoulder. The good part is that I'm not some famous person neither those people who pranked me knew my name. So no trace that the girl in video is me, there.

In video my face is not completely visible only my side angle. A person knowing me from years can recognize me instantly and those who knew I was Velma last night. Apart from that my face is not recognizable which is something I am so glad off.

"The girl really looked scared. I feel like you genuinely terrified her." Julia reads the comment and bumps her hand. "Finally a reasonable comment. I bet this guy is actually amazing inside out."

She tries to make me feel good but I know almost everyone on comment is carrying along with the prank. Most of them were praising the guy for executing the prank so perfectly while others was straight up laughing.

I won't lie if I wasn't in the video and hadn't gone through it last night. I would've laughed too seeing the video because it is funny, usually whenever I watch such prank videos I used to think it was all planned that both the party knew and acted accordingly but last night I realized not every time it is planned.

"It's almost close to one million can't believe your performance will make them famous. You should chime in for your cut. You carried the whole video." Selena praises and that almost makes me chuckle.

"I'm sure I won't see them and even if I do... I've no intentions of doing anything. Although now that I'm out from my Halloween daze, seeing the video is definitely making me pissed for reacting like that." I admit.

If I wasn't paranoid with the last week activities going on with me, I am sure I wouldn't be such dimwit to act like that. For nineteen years not once I was scared off from Halloween and its pranks but last night I broke my own record.

I was Claire Dunphy for solid eighteen years but yesterday my Phil showed up.

I sigh and get up from bed. Amy and Selena choose to make breakfast while Julia and I decide to clean ourselves first.

"Do you have any lotion I forgot mine in the dorm." Julia asks coming back from taking shower. I pass her my lotion and just then my phone rings.

"Can you pass me it?" I gesture and she nods her head before picking my phone. She frowns seeing down my screen before giving it to me. Dylan's name flash on my screen and with confusion I pick it up.

"Dylan?" I greet in a startle. Generally he never calls me this early.

"You awake?"

"Yes I am. Why, what happened? You called so early. Is everything alright?" I ask. Did he also watched the Halloween video and figured out that was me?
