"What the hell! This is your room?" Julia gasps as we enter into my bedroom. "Did you rob Hannah Montana room or what?"

"More like robbing every Disney room and fitting it all in here." Selena says. My Mom laughs behind me and I roll my eyes.

"I'd a phase." I defend.

"That never ends?" Selena suggests.

"She has the same layout in New York too?" My Mom asks.

"I already showed you through video call."

"No, Mrs. Austen. The New York one looks minimalistic compared to this purple room with fur wall." Julia says.

"That's not fur. It's just a type of illusion."

"Illusion of what? That you're still stuck in old Disney classic?" Selena says and I groan.

"Ugh, stop teasing me okay. I'd an obsession with purple and I saw Alex having this type of wall in her room in that one episode. So I asked my Mom and Dad if I could get fur wallpaper. They found one and since then I never really did anything to remove it. In and all I blame them for not stopping me." I say.

"Woah! If we don't give you what you ask for, we're bad parents but if we do give you things what you ask for yet we're bad?" My Mom puts her hands against her hips before walking further in the neat clean organised room.

It's like I never left and I make a mental note to thank my Mom for taking care of my precious room.

"We told her that it won't look good and will collect lots of dust. But she literally splayed on the floor and refused to get up until we get one. Lucas wandered in malls for two days until he found one and then he took us there so she can choose. I backed away a step knowing in future when fingers will rise it won't be on me. But somehow they're still on me." She says.

"I can totally imagine her throwing a tantrum. She still gets excited seeing those things but thank God she never brought such atrocities in New York." Selena makes a cross and I look at her deadpan.

"I've varied taste and that was literally when I was around ten I guess. The reason I didn't change the wallpaper was because the whole wall will be ruined. See over there, I asked Dad to take one down and we did. But the whole wall paint came out then it took me additional days to make something on the wall so it won't look hideous. But somehow we ended up having this one fur wall." I explain.

"Well I'm just kidding you. Your room is literally so cute and gives a nostalgic vibe." Julia praises and I feel good. I always used to feel a little insecure about my taste because obviously people in my school were definitely all over that phase one time but I used to go a little overboard.

"Amy's retro theme room look is epic though. I mean I knew already what it's going to be in your space but her's. Damn." Selena says in astonishment.

"I know right? I was shocked watching the combo of yellow and red with black. It was like I was in indie pop album." Julia says and I laugh.

"Did you check the shelf having vinyl cases? Uncle Frank had the habit of collecting them in his times until he got over that phase so later when Amy grew up, she hijacked all that to make her room look much cooler." I tell them. My Mom reminisces the day when we're helping her setting up the theme of her room.

Amy wanted it to be more like an aesthetic room of some lonesome photographer. It was her words of that time. So we searched on Internet until we found a layout and decided her theme. The good old memory brings a smile to my face.

"I feel like there's so much to notice around your room but I am sure you must've been tired. So you sleep and we'll meet you later. Until then we're at Amy's." Selena says and I nod my head. They both head out leaving me with my Mom.
