Y/N and Peter have been friends for 12 years, so, they basically grew up together. Over the years, Y/N's admiration for Peter and her love for him grew, but telling him was another story.

Being able to tell when there was something wrong with Peter, was Y/N's superpower. So, when Peter first became Spider-Man, naturally, Y/N figured it out before Peter confirmed it.

Unlocking the door to the Parker apartment, you saw May cooking food as usual, while Peter was either in bed still sleeping or just stretching.

"PETER! BREAKFAST!" May yelled as you grabbed a banana from her fruit bowl.

"No. You sit." May took the banana from you and sat you at the table, placing 2 pancakes in front of you on a plate.

"Thanks May." You hugged her before Peter entered the room, barely making eye contact with you.

"Morning, Parker." You smiled, watching as he sat down. You and Peter still had an hour 'til school started.

"Pete?" You looked at him as you took a bite, noticing something off. He kept his hands close to him and he focused on the breakfast that May just gave him.

"Peter." You had enough. Taking his food away, you watched as he stood up and left the table, both you and May confused.

"I wonder what's wrong with him?" May asked.

Unlike you, May still had no idea that Peter was Spider-Man, even though it had been 2 years.

"I'll go see." You followed him out of the apartment, seeing that he was trying to escape you.

"PETER!" You yelled, trying not to cry.

Before long, you had found yourself in school, Peter now gone from your view.

The day was horrible. Every time you saw Peter, he walked off or talked to Ned and MJ. They were your friends as well, but since you discovered Peter's secret, they've been distant.

"MJ? Ned?" You pulled them into an empty hallway.

"Have you guys talked to Peter? He won't talk to me." You asked them.

"Sorry, Y/N. We haven't." MJ and Ned quickly walked off.

After hours of confusion, you eventually found Peter walking down a empty hallway, heading to the front of the building with his bag.

"Peter!" You yelled.

"Peter! What the hell is wrong with you?" You turned Peter around as you saw the regret in his eyes.

"Leave me alone, Y/N. I need to go." Peter tried to escape, but you stopped him.

"You're not leaving Peter. Ever since this morning, you've been nothing but a dick to me. You've barely said anything to me and every time I try to talk to you, you run away. What's-" You held him by his shoulder.

"-I'm moving up state." He interrupted you.

"M-Moving up state?" You were confused.

"Yes. Mr Stark has finally allowed me to train as a new Avenger up at the Avengers Compound and I'm leaving today." He explained.

"And you're just going to leave without saying anything to me?" You were upset.

"This is hard enough for me. I didn't want to say anything because I knew how you'd react." Peter looked away.

"Are you kidding me Peter? You just expected to leave the school without saying a word to me, expecting that I'd be ok with coming to school tomorrow and you not being here?" You were angry.

"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, Y/N! I can't refuse it. I can finally use my powers for good. I can finally help people on a bigger and greater scale." Peter was happy.

"Peter, you're forgetting something important. You and me." You brought up a good point.

"What about you and me?" He questioned.

"I'm never going to see you again Peter. If you leave, you're going to spend all of your time at the Avengers Compound and I'll probably never see you anymore." You were on the verge of crying.

"We will always be friends, Y/N. I don't care how far away I am, I will always be your friend." He smiled.

"That's the problem, Peter. It's not just about our friendship. I wanted you and I...to be an us." You wiped away the tears on your cheeks.

"What are you talking about?" Peter was confused.

"Ever since we met, I loved you Peter, and when you became Spider-Man, I loved you even more, but I just didn't know how to tell you." You held his hand, but you could feel that not even this revelation would change his mind.

As you looked at each other, Peter's phone went off and he answered it.

Happy: Peter, Tony and I are out the front. Where are you kid?

Peter: I'm on my way.

He hung up, looking at you.

"I'm sorry, Y/N." He whispered.

"So that's it huh? You're just going to leave and never talk to me again?" Tears were rolling down your eyes.

"This is not a goodbye, Peter. I won't let it be." You held his hand longer, feeling him pulling away. He eventually pulled away, beginning to walk off.

"I gotta go." He quickly ran off towards the entrance, leaving you to cry as you fell to the floor, your heart breaking.
